  1. Happens all the time to me "Go get a load of pea gravel for a jobsite, you gotta shoot it to the roof with the little conveyor" "It'll freeze" "You're not going that far" "ITS FRIGGEN -20!!!!!!" Sure as chit, 30 min later and 8" all the way around is frozen solid! Now I have a heated bay in the yard, they finally get what a huge waste it is to have me in the box with a roofing torch thawing the shit out as the use it. Load the bin, and leave it to cook for a few days at a good angle.....
  2. This poor beaten 2004 F-350 V10 does a lot for us, but this time of year she be a plow....still working on nuking the v10 so we can jam the 7.3 out of the van in there..... I must add, not a fan of the power-v blade.....too damn heavy for what we need it for
  3. welcome.....heres your helmet......
  4. I've got full locks. And here in southern ontario this year, they have payed for themselves..... Just needed 'em not 30 minutes ago That is the lane that leads to our "compound" for the bins at the farm.....drifts on the right side are knee deep. Lock em up and hammer down, she'll go lol
  5. Thanks guys. Supposed to warm up a little today. Good to know no damage will result.
  6. Which Hendrickson? I run Hendrickson haulmaxx and I like it, it rides like crAp empty, smooths out with a load, and keeps the wheels on the ground in the messy stuff. The old rd has a straight walking beam from Hendrickson (can't think of the name), and it's pretty much the same. I've never had the fortune to run a truck with camelback, but I would think (and I've read) it is much the same with a better ride loaded.
  7. Truck hasn't moved in a few days, so I went out and let it run a little today, and the CEL was on when I shut it down. Used the self diagnostics and snapped a pic, anyone know what it means. Lol
  8. Good read, thanks
  9. You and I suffer the same problem lol
  10. why does he have to be canadian?!?!?!?!?stupid prick.......
  11. Maybe I missed something (or misunderstand your post), but would our 88 rd 688s e6-350 econodyne be a repower then? Tia for the response....

  14. for the first ten to twenty minutes running every morning, my granite's fan runs until the needle starts to climb. Come on when it's hot, and that's all I ask for.
  15. From the album: RRR Inc.

8800 kg load......just a bit of snow lol Another good reason to not leave bins abandoned at sites on the wrong side of the snow belt for three friggin weeks. Glad I don't pay the bills
  16. From the album: RRR Inc.

Cleaning the frozen crap out of the bins for repair....
  17. From the album: RRR Inc.

Getting cans from the farm for cleaning and repair.
  18. Water pump cavitation? Don't know if it's a problem with trucks, but cars its common after cooling system work for air to enter the system and get trapped at the impeller of the water pump.....most of the time a good "burp" will help get things moving again. Just a thought, some one with more heavy truck knowledge will chime in I'm sure.
  19. Don't know if this belongs, but it's a cat and it's a "loader" lol Cat 238B
  20. I've always disconnected the batteries to weld, and was also taught early on to ground close to where your welding....works good now, as the ground clamp on the welder in the shop is about 4'long......needed some cable to make boosters lol
  21. Update: Out running no problem most of the day (drl relay still out). On the return of my 4 hour trip it started acting up again. This time both the turn signal indicators were lit but the bulbs from the cab back were off. Little led (both sides) between the hood and the doors and all the lights in the front clusters were dimly lit. Lights from the cab back were operating normally (turn signals, brakes and 4-ways). The front clusters would respond to turn signal and 4-ways, but alternate from turn signal (outer most bulb), low beam, high beam (inner most bulb). While testing the front lights, I inadvertantly hit the high beam switch and all returned to normal. Lasted the rest of the day, then got to yard and couldn't get the friggin thing to do it again for the maintenance guy to see...... Arrggggg
  22. Here's the deal, This morning checked all the lights and everything was fine. Pushed in the button to take off and when the daytime running lights came on, the left signal indicator on the dash and high beam indicator would flash at random. While it was doing this, the flashers were not blinking and still respond to the signal stock. Got out and looked at the lamps again, passenger side were normal except the high beam being dimly lit. Driver side, all dimly lit and the little led between the door and the back of the hood was staying on. With the left signal on, all the lights in the left side cluster would blink and dim. Pulled the drl relay out and I thought I had the problem fixed....but it started it again, put the relay back in and suddenly all is fine......wtf All the wiring is covered and appears clean, all the bulbs work (switched them all side to side). Only seems to do it when the spring brakes are off (drl on). Any ideas or should I try and book it into the shop? Sorry for the long winded post and any info that is vague. I will clarify as required. Thanks in advance Jordan
