  1. yes the kw wrecker is all hand painted, bendi does awesome work.
  2. jive's shop is on 171 in Lockport, but he might come to you if you have a shop. bendi is also top notch. jive did mine (see above). this black kw is all hand lettered and striped by rick bendi. now that I really look at the picture, I don't think the kw was done when I took the picture - I know there is some cool striping on the hood, but it isn't there in this pic
  3. as far as I know, Bill "jive" Jarvis still does lettering and pinstriping. He is getting up there and it takes him a while but it's better than stickers anyday in my book. he did mine about 4 years ago. Rick Bendi still does does it too.
  4. I'd bet that valueliner is a yellow "K Konstruction" truck with a paint job
  5. uh oh...I've been spotted. It is difficult to hide in a yellow and black truck pulling a giant billboard for the mulch company. your truck is a little cleaner than mine!
  6. anybody know of any frameless 22 or 24 foot aluminum dumps for sale? Been looking for a while, they sure are hard to find...and the ones I seem to find are junk and big $$$. Don't mind spending the $$$ but not for junk
  7. as far as I know Tom is the only person in the world to have an air ride axle trailer, because he made it himself. Axle never made one
  8. there are pictures on here somewhere of that truck. prob in the Chicago r model thread
  9. that is correct. Ritchie bros buyers premiums are not too bad compared to other ones. only 2 or 3 % I think. they make the $$ on the sellers
  10. tri axle has 285k miles. 2 granites sold for $77500 each. 250k miles on those
  11. 05 KW T800 tri axle went for $80k. 08?or09 KW T800 tandem also $80k
  12. the automatic granites from s&k went for $77500 I think. crazy.
  13. 2008 dierzen dominator 22 ft went for $38k today at Richie bros. CRAZY. they aren't that much new. people are stupid
  14. I only work with them a week or two a year, if my regular guys don't have something to do. They sure seem to have a lot of work
  15. I see Jimmy working for Hager down here by us sometimes
  16. not sure how to post the link, but go to rbauction.com and look up the Kansas city auction
  17. I would think that's a liitle low for dump work, but maybe with an automatic its ok? I don't think I would want anything lower than 3.73. I think I use low and high wrong when I am talking ratios. anywhere from 4.11 to 3.73 is ok for dump work
  18. not really over there, but Eric at Chicagoland Wheel Polishing does amazing work. He is out in Naperville or Aurora.
  19. concrete goes on the north side of Royce Rd. A Lamp is crushing the concrete there. dirt goes on the south side by the stone, but all the way to the east
  20. the one at Elmhurst Chicago is closed now. they built a new scale house further to the east and blasted away where the old scale house was. the waves would almost come back over the hood if that one was full enough
  21. try the one at reliable materials in lyons, not only is it crappy mud water, but you have to drive between concrete poles that feel like they are about 7 1/2 feet wide. just stupid
  22. My guy spent about six hours on mine, he is older and jokes about it! It was still cheaper than getting vinyl
  23. not sure how these pictures will turn out, but this tow truck is ALL hand painted by Rick Bendi. All of their trucks are hand lettered. Pictures don't do it justice. My truck was lettered by an old timer, Bill "jive" Jarvis. These guys truly are artists
  24. there are still a couple of good pinstripe/lettering guys around here (Chicago), but I think it is a dying breed. hand painted always looks better, I think
