  1. That look like it would fit better in my gearbox. I have a 4 inch extension and then a 90 degree fitting on my cable. Did you fit it in the gearbox or at the 90 degree bend? Thanks a bunch for the link. I've ordered it already.
  2. Does this look like the gadget used? Thats the auto meter one. I have seen Dakota digital do one also.
  3. That would be great. What gearbox is in your truck?
  4. Can you post a pic of the trans side of it. My speedo is dead also.
  5. Full credit to you, that's an amazing job you have done.
  6. Yeah I've heard of them, when my little boy begs me to put "sheens" on. Ill admit, there's times where I sit down and watch it with my boy and get just as much enjoyment out of it.
  7. Without know much about b model tie rod ends, I did see a company advertising rebuilding tie rid ends. Its called the "nu-tech polymer bushing system". Just google it. Would be interested to get a smart mans opinion on it.
  8. And tesla state that the driver is ultimately responsible. So what's the point of an autonomous vehicle that needs the driver to be 100% alert at all times? Why not just buy a normal car?
  9. Would it be worth asking the scrap company to let you know when the next me come through and see if you could buy some parts from them? I don't think they would be opposed to the extra few dollars.
  10. On my dads truck the bar between the valve and the cab was missing. No way to exhaust or inflate when required. I replace ride height valves every few years because they become unresponsive. An air bag with no way of exhausting or inflating is a lot like a rubber block.
  11. It could of been a lot worse. I was looking at Jays arm near the open window when it was rolling. Could of been a lot of band aids used!
  12. I was contemplating buying one of these. But I only do 100,000km/60,000miles a year. Just didn't make sense. But they sure do have a lot more room inside. The grill is a bit of a step backwards compared to the k104.
  13. Impressive looking operation. What's the deal with the green Detroit?
  14. I like the girls. And the kw. And the dodge. Cool pics, the Hank's for sharing.
  15. If I may weigh in on this topic. When I drove my dads valueliner across Aus it had no air in the cab air bags (aftermarket, 2 air bags, cab and sleeper on rails). It was rough, as you are well aware. I played around with it, got air in it but ride height valve was working properly. Was still rough. Finally put a new ride height valve on it and made a huge difference. Going over speed bumps I couldn't barely feel the camel back kick. Multi leaf springs in the front still made for a hard ride. So my .02c is they seem to work good when operating as they were designed.
  16. Man, you earned your beer tonight! Some works, I wonder how they stay in business.
  17. What part of Aus you from Steve? I know of a valueliner cab, complete with doors and interior but it's in Perth. Mind you it's going cheap and I can organise freight.
  18. The blonde is demonstrating the "peterbilt greeting". Bloody great place to work there!
  19. Nice job on that. It does seem like a strange place for it to crack. Hope it holds up for you.
  20. I hope Aus never bring out a kW like that. Cheap looking thing it is.
  21. Just an observation. The Spring is a coil, could it be screwed on past the pin head? It may make it easier to do next time with no need to cut or weld more than necessary. All in all you done a fine job of the repair
  22. Nice work on saving it. Sure looks in good shape for her age. Cant wait to see the progress pictures! Happy motoring.
  23. Wow, that is an incredible transformation!
  24. Fits in there pretty nice! I suppose that's one way of keeping a v8 superliner, I guess 3408 parts are still plentiful.
  25. You're too right Paul! I would fill the shed up pretty quick!
