  1. So since the truck has a 5 speed, is it the low reving engine?
  2. I think the same as a lot of guys here. Run the steers at 80 or 90 psi. The rears at 40 or 50 psi. I don't think you will have any trouble. Lots of guys here let the pressures down when hitting the dirt, doesn't hurt any. Please let us know if it makes a difference in the way it rides.
  3. From where I'm sitting, that girl looks to have them inflated pretty good. I like your timbers, with red ends. Like giant matches.
  4. Hahaha, I literally lol'd! Well played good sir!
  5. Without the diagram i would do it like you suggested. Its just an inline switch isn't it? Circuit is open when pedal is pressed?
  6. Good work, after looking a few of your previous posts I'd say that trucks in good hands.
  7. I reckon the truck has a gm, and that's his extra fuel.
  8. If you don't like a product then don't buy it. Pretty smile really.
  9. And they usually have a big open space underneath the bunk to fit the air tank for the starter.
  10. Well done, now comes the fun part... Driving it!
  11. When I set the maxi brakes on my trailers I have the same thing. A long drawn out hiss of air. I believe there is an exhaust valve beneath my Suzy hoses. I'd guess there might be an exhaust valve somewhere in your truck system that might be dicky.
  12. You done a good job on that. And being steel you can probably back into things a bit faster before you bend something😜 Id like to see how they build the trailers over there. What is the length and tare weight of that one? Mine is coming along slowly. Waiting on ramps, paint, lights and signage then can get in rego'd.
  13. What's the gear shift like with that linkage set up? I've got cable shift on my kw but they need replacing every 2 years or so.
  14. They certainly are. Not a dumb question, in fact I was only asking about it this morning. Back in the 80's you didn't need them, or the trailer was considered a mud guard. Wanted to run 1/4 guards in mine since it's an 84 model but no can do.
  15. A lot of the big fuel companies like shell and Mobil used Macks during the 80's and 90's. Usually short wheelbase day cabs like this one. At first glance if guess it was one of them.
  16. No connection to me. But it sure is a nice truck to look at. Though you guys would appreciate it too. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mack-V8-Valueliner-prime-mover-/172182068173?hash=item2816d9dbcd:g:o90AAOSwv~xXDhJZ
  17. This is the type of kit I was referring to. My dad has a 3/4 to 1 inch adapter and has used it to to do a diff yoke. Althought just last night I used the Milwaukee 3/4 rattle gun. Boy has that thing got some grunt!
  18. Looking great! All them little things ad up.
  19. I think they are all pretty much the same. They certainly work a treat, but I've never used them to tighten the nuts, just remove them. I'd buy from a tool shop, just for ease of returning if you need too.
  20. Do you guys have isri seats in the states? They are good quality.
  21. Sorry to hear about all this Mike. It's not fair that a bloke who loves Mack as much as you do gets let down. Go play with the grand kids over the weekend and deal with it on Monday, if you can.
  22. I bought one from pai. It is a pressed stainless grill section, then stainless trim sections that clip onto the hole in the bonnet. Pic is identical to the one I bought.
  23. They call that a super b-double down here. Two 40's, 4 axle lead trailer and Tri axle rear.
  24. I for one am glad that to hear this has been abolished! Thanks for the updates KSC.
