  1. Brambles used a lot of them. Now days they are a big hit with the grain farmers. They will have a tipper on the back and tow one or two trailers behind. I reckon I could find some pics but they certainly won't be pretty!
  2. Read about this in the local paper over the weekend. Basically it's a tipper which bolts together instead of being welded together. This includes the front wall, rear frame, side walls and mudguards. This is to "increase flexibility and maintainabilty, while reducing lead times". Also it gives you the ability to swap high tensile steel walls for aluminium. The only downside I can think of it's your more likely to be stuck paying the manufacturers price for the parts. Is anything like this available in the U.S? http://www.hamelexwhite.com.au/hamelex-white-releases-revolutionary-versabolt-wins-best-trailer/ http://www.trucksales.com.au/editorial/news/2016/new-versabolt-tipper-range-55850
  3. K.S, your a legend.
  4. Looks right at home there... Little did they know.
  5. I think changing colour is a bit different to, say, chopping the roof or something along those lines. I think your doing a great job.
  6. Or who North Korea is and why this matters.
  7. I think that's an Aussie one? A bit of inbreeding going on there. Sure it's ugly, but i bet it's got a great personality.
  8. Poor trailer!
  9. Your indoor photos didn't do it justice. It really shines when it got some sunlight on it. Top job!
  10. Holy shit that's cold! We just had 7 days in a row above 40c which is 104f. During winter it would be cold if it's gets to 5c or less. Or you could just google it...
  11. So is that article correct when it said it evolved into the n14? That's really amazing!
  12. I'd pull the intercooler out and clean it with petrol also.
  13. I think the theory behind it is that there is a certain percentage of unburnt fuel each stroke. When you add lpg, or in this case hydrogen, the diesel will ignite as per usual. Once it has, it will ignite the lpg, which has a much higher octane rating, which burns more of the unburnt diesel. They use the lpg on older diesels Utes here in Aus. I think the newer diesels are a lot better and don't waste as much fuel per stroke and as a result you don't get as good an increase.
  14. Honestly, my truck has got no glass in and no doors so it's well ventilated at the moment. But I couldn't smell any odour from the flashing when it was in one big roll or when I had put it in the truck. I have heard that's one disadvantage from using this stuff.
  15. I just tried a bit of the bitumen roof flashing today. Very similar to dynamat in the way it feels and applies and it definitely works. I think if used in conjunction with dynamat you could do your whole truck and save quite a bit.
  16. Does the MH have cab suspension? Mine has the 2 levelling valves. I also have suspension pressure gauges in the cab, one for left and one for right. My left side pressure was a lot lower than the right, so I fixed that so its a tiny bit higher than the right (low side of the road - down under). Also have to keep on shock absorbers on rear diff.
  17. So does the beam act like a giant leaf Spring? Or is it rigid?
  18. By the looks of it, I think the neway has a wider axle spread. Does that make it ride better? Possibly. I have neway on a cabover Kenworth and considering how short it is it rides beautiful. I think the neway is better, my 0.02c.
  19. They might of been drinking the kool aid when they named it?
  20. I was wondering the same thing... This is what Google told me. http://www.stengelbros.net/MAXAIR-Air-Suspension--Mack-Twisted-Sister--Tandem-Axle-Air-Suspension-_c_973.html
  21. I had a purebred dog once, sold it to another bloke... Still a purebred dog! Renault did well by Mack in my opinion. In fact they brought the Mack v8 to Europe by using it in their trucks. Renault respected Mack for what it was, a great manufacturer. It's a great shame I can't the same thing about Volvo.
  22. Where I live you can move a dozer with the blade and cabin on it. But where I grew up a dozer is called a divisible load, which means the blade would need to be removed to make it narrowed and cabin removed to reduce height. What are laws like in the U.S?
  23. That's interesting. Has anybody ran a dd15 without any after treatment? I've inquired about putting an isx-e5 into an older truck but with no ad blue. Cummins said it wasnt emissions tested for the older regulations so legally they couldn't do it.
  24. Top quality workmanship which is what we have come to expect for you. If the window tilts back of forward it would make it hard to go up or down. We have one truck with electric windows and we have to hold it back in order for it to go up.
  25. Reminds me of a show on tv here down under called bush mechanics.
