  1. I went and checked it out. Not a bad show, probably small compared to shows around the world but I had a good time.
  2. Twin stacks and all! It's a bit flash for North queensland isn't it Paul?
  3. I grew up around wauchope. Never remember going to a truck show however, Kempsey used to have a good show and good parade down the Main Street. Some nice Macks there, you did a good job on the camera.
  4. Did you use another diff or a lazy axle?
  5. I've watched some of them shows like American pickers, them signs are worth a bit.
  6. This comes as no surprise. All these smart cars, with keyless entry and a latte machine (soy) make me sick! But, it gives me a good excuse next time the boys in blue pull me over. "Honestly sir, this old mack is being hacked by Internet hackers, it's not my fault!"
  7. KS is right about that fact. But on that particular truck, there would be no dramas running two tanks either side.
  8. There's no reason behind it. An Australian truck customiser had been doing this lately, it's just a fad.
  9. You did it the hard way... I got mine from a box of corn flakes.
  10. Agreed! That truck is going to look really neat. Are you painting it the same colour? Now you will have a place to sleep when your in shit with the missus!
  11. I was told the Aus sanitarium branch is a not for profit organisation. They basically give all their profits away to charity. I guess that's expected from the church.
  12. Hard to believe that years ago people used to pull 3 with a 285hp mack. Now my 550 cat looks under powered. Anyone priced up a diff for a Scalia?
  13. When ever me and dad are making gravy for the roast we use a bit of Vegemite. And dab a bit on mouth ulcers... Stings like hell but they are gone in a day.
  14. I think in your situation pictures of your engine would help guys on here diagnose which engine you have. As far as hp increase, im sure you could. Try a mack dealer or read some older threads on here and get some ideas. Tec brake does engine brakes for macks.
  15. Nice job on that. Aluminium is nice and light but bit trickier to work with compared with steel. You gonna put the same style lights on or bolt some new ones up?
  16. What's his thoughts on it? Looks pretty impressive!
  17. I've only seen top fuelers once. Still remember that rumble shaking my whole body! Cheers for them interesting facts, they certainly are in a class of their own!
  18. They came up really nice! When can I drop off mine?
  19. I'm not a fan of the new ones with their set back front axle. I think the raw hides look a lot more like a superliner.
  20. This is a 2005 build This is a new one with mp-10
  21. Ok, so this is a bit along them lines but the Australian mack branch has used the superliner tag since about 2003. And still make brand new! Earlier ones had cummins isx and cat c-15/c-16 power and are a pretty nice looking truck. Newer ones have the mp-10 but there isn't much resemblance to the old superliners. Would love to see how you guys would do it!
  22. As above. That model is perfect! A job very well done.
  23. Didnt think about taking a swim?
  24. Yeah we cut down the beam and plated it with 1/4 inch plate to reinforce it. Paul, I'm a lot happier doing it this way. Mind you with work, doing bits on my mack, missus and the little fella I find it hard to find time to work on it. That's life I suppose. Keeps me from being bored!
