    I think later models were made using an australian chassis. They had a mack 470hp engine in them. Well spotted Vlad.

    You know the divots in golf balls? They are there for aerodynamic reasons. And myth busters done a show on it once. Makes you wonder, whether something like that would work on the front and tops of pans? Apparently aircraft paint it similar, as they actively try to get an "orange peel" finish to create less wind resistance. I think it's creates a vortex or something....

    For what you want to use it for, I think it's a great thing. Mind you, it has a lot of draw backs. but I guess so does everything. Enjoy catching up with your family.

    I think underdog is right. Try measuring from bottom of frame to ground at front and rear and see what difference there is. My kw has parabolic springs on the front (3 big springs compared to multi leaf) and they use blocks to give the right height. Something to look at. Good luck with it.

    Paul, I know the U.S. gallon is about 3.8l, where the imperial gallon is 4.5l. Depends which one you used?

    I think when you start buying fuel pumps things could get expensive! By the sounds of it you got great results from injectors and increase in fuel. And wouldn't have cost ya much. Good bang for buck. Not so for the turbo, and I'm guessing you will be left dissapointed if you try a new fuel pump. My opinion, just enjoy your truck as it is, and spend that $$$ you were gonna spend on the fuel pump on your missus or on a holiday.

    That looks very nice. i definitely wouldn't worry about it not being original. It still fits in with the truck. I'm going to do the same with mine when it comes time.

    Just to clear that up, that's drivers side for you LHS folk. Look just above the sump.

    My mate has a big cam 400 which is beige. I think it has the words "big cam" cast into the block on the drivers side if I remember right.

    I reckon if you had another bonnet and took a mould of the headlight and gaurd you could patch that one up.

    Are they parabolic springs? At least everything wrong with it is there for you too see. Nothing has been hidden, so that's a huge plus. Get a few new hangers and it will go forever.

    I've got a trailer with a few bends in it. A local guy suggested heating and shrinking the metal. Not something I know much about, but it sounds about right. I know when ever you bend metal in a bender your actually stretching one side. Lot of smart people in the world so I'm certain it can be done. P.S. It looks at home behind your bulldog Mack!
