I haven't seen a 20" spoke for the FA 600 axle, but have seen floats on a B815. FW

H series, 2 valve head, probably trying to get more air in the engine. FW

I would say White, they made a planetary drive axle. FW

Here is a picture of my first Mack,# 1 January 1973. I put a dump body on it and used it up until 1986 and then sold it. It was sold locally four more times, and the present owner removed the body and returned it to a tractor. I have been with Macks for 40+ years. FW

The RS/RL cab is a few inches higher than the R, and the RW is higher than the RS/RL, with the western hood I would keep it stock height. FW

Very easy and simple conversion same spread on the rails. FW

Check to see if the stops on the rim aren't wedged in the spoke. Striking the rim and the spoke isn't good. FW

I have an article on the development of the Brockway's Superliner, which I can not locate at this time. It has to do with Brockway getting into the O/O market, with its engineering and design concepts , pictures and renderings of many styles of Brockway's Superliner and what Mack did with them. I will find it someday. FW

Alcoa developed the aluminum wheel 1948, celebrating 60 years in 2008 they produced about 200 ,5 hole, stud pilot, 24.5 wheels. FW

The Hercules HXE-935 is a different (valve in block), than the Hall Scott 935 (valve in head) engine. The Hall Scott engines, The 400 series, model 450 - 5 x 6 - 707 cd 470 - 5.5 x 6 - 855 cd 480 5.75 x 6- 935 cd 400 5.75 x 7-1090 cd 440 " " " low mount fan and water pump, different oil filtering , water proof ignition, military applications. When Hercules took over Hall Scott they were numbered , 470 = Model 855 480 = Model 935, 6156 400 = Model 1091, 6182, 1091 OS The truck for sale has a HS 480 engine , and have been told it was built as a wrecker/recovery vehicle, and not a modified apparatus. I know someone that looked at it a few years ago. The truck was in a grass fire. FW

I came across this truck, it is unique and interesting. It belonged to the College of the Redwoods, Eureka CA. , and was used in their driver training course. From what I can find the College was founded in 1964 and had a variety of courses and one was truck driver training. 196? Kenworth W 923, DD 871Tw/ jake, 5 & 4 transmissions, Aluminum frame and air ride. A second brake for the instructor. Bus seats fitted in the bunk for the students. The way it was back... All the gauges. Old school low air. Anyone know of someone that went to this college and took truck driver training? FW

Great pictures. The egg shaped wheels the way they are timed front to back and side to side it will roll smooth. I believe it is military prototype amphibious vehicle and the egg shaped wheels propel it in water. The B model mixer San-Vel, Littleton MA Towing the bus a 1928 Cadillac. FW
