  1. Well last week I took my yearly trip to Ohio in pursuit of the elusive whitetail. When coming into the town of Zaleski off of 278 and turning right where it meets 677, I spotted a Dodge cabover tractor, single axle. It was sitting in a yard of older equipment. If anyone was looking for one, it looked to be in good condition, don't know if it is for sale, but if anyone lives in that area, maybe they can do a little leg work and check it out. I wish i had taken a picture but was in a hurry to get in the woods because my first passion is whitetails, sorry.
  2. Finished the transmission, started Friday afternoon and finished Saturday night. All went well for the first time with the trans still in the truck. The right tool made the difference to hold the gears in.
  3. I contacted my local mack dealer which help me out any chance they get. I asked the service manager to loan me the tools to do the job and they said no problem. The best part is they deliver the tools to me when they bring the parts, can't beat that. I've rebuilt several transmissions in the past, including 6, 12, and 8LL's but never still in the truck. I'm always up to a good challenge so next weekend we will do it. Thanks for the help and I will let you's know how I make out.
  4. A friend of mine just bought a 06 Granite with an 18 speed. The problem is the case is leaking where they bolt together. He asked me if you can split the case in the truck to replace the gasket. Has anyone done this while in the truck on a 18 speed?
  5. Take half my stuff???? Hell I started with nothing and have most of it left. LOL
  6. The local church youths group needed someone to pull a trailer for the parade. Superliner did good even though I never got out of 1st gear. I just found out today that they took 1st place.
  7. This one was just for sale in my area on ebay. Different wrecker, a little high priced for me but if anyone needs it looked at, I would be happy too. Did not sell at $15,900
  8. No the E-7 was in one of my RD's. My superliner is a E-9, 500 and uses them ALL.
  9. I think you get a warning point just for talking about warning points so that means everyone on this post get one or two or more. Oooops, I think that includes me.
  10. I tried the grease thing when I put a cam in my E-7, (DID NOT WORK). You can't get any left over oil out of the lifters and it seeps down and makes the lifters drop. I called my local mack dealer who I buy my parts from and were happy to loan me the magnets to do the job. If I had to do it again. I would push the truck outside and take the excavator and roll the truck on its side to do the work. LOL
  11. I was hauling shale out of my buddies shale pit and saw this truck. Just thought you guys would enjoy seeing it. Looks to be in pretty good shape. They have it setting by their picnic tables.
  12. I did the change over on my 94 RD. Changed the pump, got rid of the econovance, changed the fuel lines because the pump is in a different location now. Told the pump shop what I was doing. I wanted big power so they turned up the pump, put super flow injectors in it and replaced the turbo with a rebuilt 427 one. They told my they where getting 490HP from this set-up. I did a cab change on my truck because of a fire and replaced it with a cab that was mechanical. I changed the wire harness under the hood along with all the sensors for the motor, which are not many but including the tach sensor in the bellhousing. The timing get set by the book for a mechanical motors.
  13. I saw a picture of a B-model grill that was made with shelves inside to display die cast toys. I thought it was on this site some time ago, maybe last year? I thought it was pretty cool and wanted to do one just like it. Does anyone remember it?
  14. Someone told me once that the rockers from a E-6 were the same although I never checked for sure.
  15. One of my b-models came with just a" bill of sale" and I had no problem getting a good title for it because of it's age.
  16. I run a tri-axle 25 ton eager beaver with the power assist ramps, what a dream now that I'm getting older and wiser. I picked mine up from E-bay( actually bought it from the seller when it didn't sell) Paid $15,000 plus 2 grand to ship it from Florida to Pa. Half the price of a new one and at that time it was only 5 years old. Mine also has the longer deck which is 25' of flat plus 6' beaver tail.
  17. No, sorry all b-models (something about those curves(.)(.), hess, and some construction equipment.
  18. Over 100 die cast, mostly b-models
  19. 400 damper must be installed also. I believe the cams are the same. Turbo, injectors, and pump make the difference.
