  2. I checked with the local PUC officer, he told me in Pa with antique plates on a truck, if it is not hauling other "toys", just driven by itself, it needs no numbers at all, doesn't need "not for hire" either. But with antique and hauling toys (no goods for resale allowed with antique plates) it needs US DOT numbers with "not for hire" posted on the truck.
  3. In Pa, you have to put "Not for hire" on the truck in place of DOT numbers.
  4. I have JC Taylor for my antiques for years but when I called to add another one on, they said they are not taking NEW policy's but because I already had one, they will just add on to it. With antique's, you CAN NOT use it for any commercial use, transport goods for resale, or any kind of business. It's to be used for pleasure and shows only.
  5. Are the E9 valve covers with the oil fill neck prone to cracking? I have 3 that have cracks around the oil fill neck. Has anyone tried to tig it? Does anyone have one that they are willing to part with?
  6. If not air locked, make sure no one put a rag inside one of the necks to keep dirt out and it was never removed. This happened to a friend of mine and drove him nuts until they found it.
  7. I have them on Ebay right now if you want to check them out.
  8. Some pictures of his layout in HO.

  11. Just got the new Mack calendar and on the one month is a picture of 2 Superliners with cranes on them. One of them has DUEL front steering axle. I have never seen one before. These belong to Jason Bossert of Kamloops, BC
  12. My first Superliner was a 1980, 400 V8, 12 speed, deep reduction was on a second shifter (2 stick)
  13. Saw a Mack Jr. bulldog hood ornament for sale also..... only $749.99
  14. I think it could be done since the Superliners sit higher on the frame than the RD's. I think since they are higher, hood clearance shouldn't be as big a problem. But I would change the side panels and use the Superliner hood. I don't think the wire harnesses would interchange, you may have to change the engine harness to the RD's.
  15. It's in the shop, the kanifler pin was bent and while it was in, they thought they would rotate the muffler bearings, so as soon as they get it fixed, you can pick it up, maybe like June if the parts are in stock. LOL Now where did I leave my left handed screwdriver?
  16. I see it's a tanker, must be one of the first versions of the salt brine trucks! LOL
  17. I was heading north on Interstate 81 near Wilkes-Barre this morning. Saw a Superliner wrecker on a drop deck heading south, single axle, white with two tone brown I think. I remember seeing it for sale somewhere a while ago. Anyone know where it is heading?
  18. No connection http://york.craigslist.org/cto/5373568265.html Also; http://scranton.craigslist.org/hvo/5387956755.html
  19. Same here. I have to wonder if this truck ran with my B755, being mine also came from the state of WA. It too was in the logging industry.
  20. I know the first V-8 motors had the single barrel injection pump. Did they change the pump on 864 to the v style or did that happen on the 865? Also, is that v pump the same one they used on the first E9? I am also looking for any 864 parts or motors if anyone comes across them.
  21. Looks like this guy is parting out a superliner, Maybe the tanks are for sale also. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MACK-RW-SUPERLINER-15-Dump-Body-w-Headlift-Hoist-31-5-Sidewalls-96-W-/161933403339?hash=item25b3fba4cb:g:4q8AAOSw3KFWhFxI&vxp=mtr
  22. Both fittings are coolant. The canister is a block heater, if you look close, you can see where the cord was cut so I'm going to say that is doesn't work anymore.
