  1. I've used Greyhound several times to ship over sized items. I think their only criteria is not too large for the shipping compartment and not too heavy to be moved by hand. The price was very reasonable, even gave a veteran's discount. It does take a little longer and is station to station.
  2. Love to see the pride.
  3. Very sad to hear. Condolences to you, his family and all who knew him.
  4. That is one beautiful truck and well done with little left to complete. It belonged to MD Miller who passed away a year or so ago. He was a friend of mine and an avid DT collector and restorer. I remember him talking about his progress restoring that truck over a number of years and the painstaking effort that went into it. It has been at the Winchester show for several years and also at York. I agree the price is more than fair, it would take a lot more if you were starting and paying out of pocket for that quality of work.
  5. Thanks for remembering.
  6. That's the other good thing about the election result, the chance of Kaine becoming president is gone.
  7. Thanks for the video. Is he livin' the dream or what!
  8. I agree, very cool truck except the afterthought gas tank.
  9. Thanks for the great pictures. That looks like a "must see" and is in striking distance from me. Hope to make it next year.

    Tire Survey

I replaced the OE tires on my F 350 SRW with Michelin LTX M&S. The tread is really highway with enough separation to be effective in snow. It is amazing how much quieter and smoother these tires are than the original Continentals which only lasted a little over 35K.
  11. Sent a PM.
  12. I had to replace mine recently with a generic one from the local parts house. It cost somewhere around $5.
  13. Always sad to hear news like this. It is something they should crack down on. Here is a link to the local news cast that shows the procession: http://wnyt.com/news/james-homkey-fort-plain/4292324/
  14. I used a Garrison hydraulic steering assist that works well. I had to fabricate the axle attaching bracket but other than that it was a bolt on using the original steering box. The pump is driven from the back of the generator. Someone in the past few months had a complete setup for sale. I don't remember where I saw the ad.
  15. I agree, nothing shabby with being two sizes under Dolly. Thanks for the pictures.

    Contagious

Very nice. Should do the job nicely.
  17. There's also the NRA Museum just off of Rt 66 about 15 miles out from DC.
  18. I saw that in this morning's paper and had the same thought.
  19. Such a sad story that happens all too often.
  20. That brick kiln looks mighty hot.
  21. Looks great Ed. Don't feel bad about the steering column. I got to do it twice also.
  22. Welcome aboard.
  23. I would follow her to Windfall Beach anytime just to get a sniff. BTW, that is me on the computer screen. Sorry I missed you at Winchester, I guess I was out looking at all the nice trucks. I was going to tell you in person how much I appreciate the POW.
