  1. I'm trying to find L & R tie rod ends. The axle is a FA 505. Both ends are right hand thread but one is a finer thread than the other (seems weird). I tried Barry but he doesn't think anyone is producing then any more.
  2. I had lost track of this thread. Just did 3 pages, great progress and a beautiful truck.
  3. Oops! forgot the seal part #07123TC.
  4. I was lucky enough to find a seal to make the trip to Macungie. Eaton was no help after about 10 transfers and a half hour. The old seal had no number on it. Allegheny York (York, PA 717-266-6617) was able to match one up by dimension 3/4 x 1.25 x .312 (ID, OD, thickness). Also, in case anyone needs a pump Matt Pfahl had several in his flea market.
  5. JTF, Thanks for the pictures, a big help in trying to remember all the great trucks. Nice to meet you and your wife.
  6. That is cool and definitely a cool truck.
  7. I have an Eaton pump that drives from the rear of the generator that has a serious leak at the shaft where it mates to the gen. The pump has these numbers on it 417099 800 and T9. I'm not sure if the pump has to come apart or if the seal can be removed and replaced from the outside. Of course this has to happen just before Macungie.
  8. It is always fun to see where you have been for the week. As distracting as the "girl getting out of the car" is I think she is getting out of a '57 T Bird.
  9. Very nice B Models. Especially the wrecker. The lettering is outstanding.
  10. That is one cool truck. I like the "survivor look" too.
  11. The duplex (TRD 720) in my B was in pretty sad shape and made all kinds of noises especially in 5th H. One of the local shops had a mechanic that was familiar with those transmissions and went through it to find a lot of corrosion and gunk in addition to worn bearings. He cleaned everything up and replaced the bearings. It made a big difference in the feel when shifting and also quieted it down. I think he got the replacement bearings from PAI and if I recall the parts cost was somewhere around $5-$600.
  12. Cool story. Can't wait to see the pictures.
  13. Thanks for posting. Damn, I wish I was there.
  14. That terminal just south of Berkeley Springs was Compton Trucking a number of years ago. Compton was local not sure what they hauled.
  15. I don't have a speedo but that's a nice truck.
  16. Me too.
  17. That's a nice truck.
  18. I'm not a subscriber but clicked on the X on that cover page and the video played. That wreck is definitely chilling.
  19. Nothing wrong with that paint job. Looks great.
  20. Ed, Looks good. I have a left over can of interior paint from Mack which has the metallic. It is very fine and as Paul points out barely noticeable unless the light hits it. I like the gloss.
  21. It's really coming together fast. Looks great.
  22. That is one cool truck with a great story. Your plan to get it home sounds like the way to go, of course that is easy for me to say. Good Luck.
