  1. I just bought a set of 673 valve cover gaskets from Barry. I think they were $32. Had them in two days.
  2. Sweet looking B. Where did the double line white walls come from?
  3. Welcome aboard. I'm sure you will find a lot of good info and also leads on some nice trucks.
  4. That is really cool just the way it is. I bet it would draw a crowd at Macungie.
  5. I would need a computer to make that calculation.
  6. Very nice. A fellow needs to act on his wishes now and then.
  7. Very cute. That look in his eye is "I want a treat".
  8. Thanks for posting. Jay is living the life.
  9. That's a fine looking trio. Even us old gimpy guys can keep up with them.
  10. Cool. It looks like one you would see on a Model T or A. Good luck finding a new home for it.
  11. I used the Dynmat Extreme which is only .067" thick. When rolled out it follows all of the contours of the panel so it should not be a problem useing it on the firewall under the pad. It should make a big difference. On that subject, I was not able to get a good fit or seal around the clutch pedal. It would be interesting to see how others have done that.
  12. That's him. I met him and his truck a number of years ago at one of the ATHS shows. What a character, what a truck. Sounds like he has about as many gears as FT.
  13. I did Dynamat through out the inside of the cab, doors and floor. The only place I did not use is was under the firewall pad as that was already installed along with all of the pass throughs. It really helps with the heat and noise but would have been better to do firewall also I think.
  14. Very Nice! That had to be a lot of work to remove all of the fire truck equipment.
  15. It's a '60. No problems with the wheels, it sat for a number of years and I was getting ready for the show season (Macungie). As usual I did the job and then checked the manual. It won't be a big deal to go back and do it as described. I'll have to buy some more grease to fill those large cavities.
  16. When repacking the bearings I noticed the hub area between the inner and outer bearings was full of grease and also the screw on outer cap. It seemed like an excess of grease but the O & M manual says to pack them that way. I don't know if that is because of the quality of grease back then or if that is still the preferred way to do it. What do y'all think?
  17. Is he the guy with the really cool white KB 12 or 14?
  18. Thanks for the great pictures. That looks like quite a show. Lots of high dollar cars (especially the MB 300s) and of course the Futureliner.
  19. I thought you were going to say "a woman that cleans like that or one that unloads furniture". I love 'em both, not picky at all.
  20. My '60 B has the same rear ratio with 10:00-20s and direct duplex topped out at 60. I changed the trans to 9sp OD and it now runs up to just over 70.
