  1. RE: PLIERS&VISE GRIPS After watching "fellow students" in our high school shop class destroy just about everything, my friend and I coined the term "the nut rounder knurl ruinner technique". That's some funny stuff
  2. Hi guys, I'm new here, signed up (first time) just before the "crash". As I said then "not really a trucker" but I love all things mechanical. My first post, (now lost) was in the "wanted" forum. My son works at a hotrod shop and he brought home a '53 Buick straight 8. We'd like to put it in fenderless, hot rod '30s-'40s Chevy pickup. Thing is, I'm not small, and my son is 6'+ and 300 lbs. I thought maybe the "B" cab would be an improvement. Freightrain was quick to reply "not sure you're going in the right direction". Several others agreed, and we need to find one to "try on". I was hoping someone would have some "B" cab dimensions? I do have dimensions for the 1946 Chevy cabs: seat to headliner: 37 1/2" - seat to dashboard 27" - seat to steering wheel: 14 5/8" - seat back to firewall: 45 1/2" - seat width; 50 3/4" - overall cab width: 50 3/4". Thanks for any help, Miles :bmod1:
  3. Hi, I'm a new guy, registered yesterday, started a thread in the "wanted to buy" forum. Had trouble logging in earlier today, then this evening the thread was gone, and so was my "ID". Just reregistered, saw your post, so I guess it was part of the switch to the "new look". Miles
