  1. I ask because i have a "few" parts trucks. There my sanity
  2. Oh my!!! How we do get off topic. But it is very intresting. So you probally dont buy trucks just for parts then?
  3. The plastic center dash is all but impossible to find in good condtion.83 is last year of Cruiseliners.
  4. Do you know where i should start to find the parts? Thank you for the reply
  5. Is there an electric wiper motor set up for an 89 DM? Is it the same motor as a R?
  6. There's a really good book, Marty on the Mountain. He started up there in 54 i think. And was the last radio man to work the old TV buliding for the Portland station. Has a lot of intresting stories. Like the orignal Cat generators and how you had to sync em to swap engines. Its a great read
  7. I think Zapora did, as well as Bickford. Not sure who the R700 was hauling for. Bickford i believe was the last to haul up there on a large scale
  8. I owned a R700 that was bought new in 77 by a local man who was hauling fuel to the summit that summer. Not many folks can wear that bumpa stickah that reads, This Car Climbed Mt Washington on their Mack
  9. That is an early Cruiseliner, notice it does not have side directional lights.
  10. Ah, good point. I know that you couldnt get the cheap round cab lights if you wanted a Lund visor on the later Astro's
  11. You are right. That Astro is made of many different parts. Cab lights dont match, Wrong grab handles for that vintage. Im not sure from the angle but i dont think thats the correct battery box. Intresting truck. Would like to walk around it and see just what they built.
  12. Thank you
  13. Yes that's me and my Cruiseliner's.
  14. I know that truck. 8Vp2, 9 Spd, came from Westmoreland, N.H.?
  15. A 320late cat. A 237 Maxidyne would stomp that with a half plugged fuel filter.
  16. I think the air ride cab was an option. Both of mine are owner installed. I bought one out of a junk yard 5 years ago. They defintely do help the ride but more importantly save the cab.
  17. WOW!!! Thats incredible. I have a 80 Cruiseliner also, good for parts. It does run and drive. Has P.S. and air ride cab. Both Cruiseliners have air ride cab. Nice find you have for sure. Take care of it and enjoy it.
  18. LOL. He did enjoy the Cruiseliner. Had a good time with Mike that day
  19. Yes and yes. The 83 Cruiseliner is kinds special. It is a true barn find, sat 25 years and had 196,00 miles. Level 3 interior, air ride, E9, dual exhaust
  20. If ya like Cruiseliners, check out You Tubes the Boston Trucker videos. He did a 2 part video on the Cabover Kings. 2 of my Cruiseliners are seen
  21. Movie Stroker Ace with Burt Reynolds use's a Cruiseliner to haul around their race cars. Nice looking truck. All Aluminum wheels and dual exhaust. Always like those scenes
  22. I too, was hopeing that someone with knowledge would chime in here and help out.
  23. Yes the MH is the Ultraliner, which came out in 82 or 83. The Cruiseliner came out in 76 and ran thru 83. The F model ceased production in 81. The Ultraliner replaced the F model. And yes the Cruiseliner is a WS model. The Cruiseliner is a westcoast design and built there until 81. The last 3 years of the WS Cruiseliner were built in Pa. Same cab but very different interior and had a Grilldenser off the Superliner. Where as the westcoast built Cruiseliners just had a stamped grill. IS that about as clear as mud? Hopefully that sheds some light on the subject
  24. How so? Cruiseliner came out in 76, Ultraliner came out in 82 or 83. I'm eager to learn so correct me if i am wrong.
  25. The MH Ultraliner came out in 82, had round headlights. They replaced the F model which ended in 81. Prior to 84 the Ultraliner was a limited production truck
