  1. I always cringe when I see High heels on paint. Even old paint
  2. Hmm. Very interesting. I was going to do the same thing to mine
  3. When you can find an E7 powered Superliner any day why would you ruin a cool Superliner with a Butt kicking KT by transplanting it? That is a kinda rare truck
  4. Just out of couriuosity have you switched oils recently? I have had some trouble with some of the new oils
  5. If they put electric speedo's in late RD's and that gage looks like the same diameter as early R models why cant I convert mine to electric? The new tranny is set up for electric already. Someone out there must have tried this
  6. Just bought an 18918B tranny for my Cruiseliner. Now I need a bell housing. What bell housing do I need?
  7. Ok. Drop the pan it is then. Thank you for your help
  8. My E9 has always put some antifreeze in the oil pan. Drain out about 20 ounces in the spring and were good the rest of season. Truck sits all wintah. This spring I took out around 40 ounces or 4 small water bottles of antifreeze. I know it isn't good or going to heal its self. But would anybody have a guess as to whats causing this? Engine has 227,000 miles. Doesn't build pressure in radiator. It will hold pressure if I pump up in the radiator. Could be air compressor? Oil cooler? O rings around the sleeves? Head gasket? Just trying to narrow down my options
  9. I remember buying those at Napa. Does this mean im old? LOL. I also had a set of aircraft landing lights in the bumper back in the day. 13 volt. Would light up a sign 1.5 mi away. Didn't use them in traffic, just when I ran up Rt 1 to Rockland, Me at night. Had a Ambulance pull over and follow me to the hospital 1 night. But that's a story for another time
  10. Ok thank you. I d like to visit my old F model. It now resides near there. Will I get shot if I load my trailer with none Macks? I will pull the trailer with a Mack
  11. when is the ATCA show and where? Whats involved in bringing a few trucks?
  12. Well we ALL have stories. As for my case, I DO know the difference between an A model cat and a B model cat. Both trucks had similar trannys. Mack had 3.85 and the cat had 3.90 ratio same size tires. The Mack had a lot more get up and go. Like I said earlier, on a long pull, say like I88 from the NY Thruway down to Binghamton, NY. Then the cat would pull past the mack. But never did get away from it. Yes its a common mistake that all 3406 cats are considered to be 425 hp. Just like folks will tell you that an 8V71 Detroit is automatically a 318 hp. We have several 8V71's and none of em are 318 hp.
  13. My 82 Cruiseliner was chassis mounted charge cooler but I seen what I was told to be a 350 with the engine mounted tip turbine. The 82 350 2 valve had a 10 speed roadranger and other than maybe a 2 stroke joke with an Allision tranny id say that Mack was the quickest truck off the line id ever driven. It would s@#t & git!!!
  14. All I can say is back in the day we had a 82 Cruiseliner with a 2 valve 350 and a 87 Freightliner with a 425 cat. I put the hired guy in the Mack. I worked my butt off but could never get away from that Mack. On a long pull I could SLOWLY pull by the Mack but never get out of sight of it. That's when I stared respecting Macks. Then when you went to fuel them you really saw the difference! Mack with its 676 C.I. verse the cat's 998 C.I. The Mack was quicker off the line got better mileage and never let that cat forget who was king, even after I had the cat turned up!!
  15. OH!!! That is a unique truck then. Thanks for the reply
  16. Ok I know I don't know much about trucks with hoods but whats the deal with yellow R model?
  17. I have a TRXL1070 6 speed that has a .62 overdrive. 22.5 tires with a 5.73 ratio gives it 72 mph at 2100 rpm
  18. Ok, Even though its not a COE that is one COOL truck!!!
  19. Barney has his name on the door. Lives on Rt 12 in Walpole. He is always glad to talk
  20. OK. So spend $ 750 and you can have a jake. easy peasy. Then you will have to dual feed it, new button in the pump, FAST fuel system. Then you will have a runner
  21. I have driven home with a blown hose. It didn't hurt the pump. Drove it @ 150 miles. Would I suggest you drive with no oil? NO. However, like they have said, keep oil in it and you will be just fine
  22. Does anybody know of where to get electric wiper set up for a B30?
  23. Do I spy Kenworth COEs in the back ground?
