  1. Yeah I have heard that head bolts cost more than used car. Guess I better plan ahead and not make this a weekend fix. Was suppose to start trucking out of Pa next week. Maybe I better use the MH until I get the Cruiseliner fixed right
  2. Excellent suggestions! Thank you
  3. The heads of the bolts are gone. I can see the rest of bolts in the manifold. Ok, thanks for the reply. Guess its time to put my big boy pants on and tackle the nasty.
  4. Looking for a new or good Grilldenser for an "Eastcoast" Cruiseliner
  5. Spring is here. Cracked the drain plug, no water, that's always a good sign. charge the batteries. Been sitting since Oct. Looking things over I notice 2 broken manifold bolts. Directly on top of the other. Don't remember that last fall. How much of pain is this going to be? its the left rear head if that makes any difference. Thanks
  6. Ouch. Were you able to back out or unload to get out?
  7. So what year is it? The grill is "Eastcoast" but the directional in the front of cab mean its a 76 or early 77?
  8. Trade ya. Try finding a grilldenser for a Cruiseliner. AT ANY price!!
  9. Its a TRXL 1070. I was just wondering. I wouldn't put that high a ratio rear in it with a 6 speed.
  10. Ok, I have 5.73's on 22.5 rubber with a .62 overdrive 6 speed which gets me @ 71 mph at 2100. My question is, if I put a set of 3.87 ratio rears in {because I have a spare set} what will be my 1st and Reverse ratio's? Will it be too fast in the yard? I don't haul heavy but don't a useless truck in the yard.
  11. Ok thanks. I could use 2 battery box covers. don't care if there alum or steel.
  12. Did UPS use standard battery boxes? I need covers
  13. Fithwheel. Do you still have that CL? Did you cut the engine out or unbolt it?. I don't know how to paste the page but if you go to our web site on page 8 there is my W series and a friends CL. The CL's were very complicated for their time. With the all air ride cab, Which was an option to get with out. Then the 3 separate heater/AC systems they were interesting. I also have heard that the MH was influenced by the CL. Have not been able to verify that in any way. But they were quiet and rode well when the air ride was maintained. Good luck trying to find wiper motors. A lot like the MH wiper set up.
  14. Congradultions! Are you sure that's Neway air ride? Sounds like nice specs.
  15. Mack Cant look part numbers for me without a vin# Ive been told that the early Superliner grilldenser is the same as a Cruiseliner. Is there a difference in the grill from an early to a late Superliner? Im trying to cross the part numbers. Any help would grateful. Thank you
  16. Hmm. That's to bad. Cruiseliner is 48x31. Thank you for the reply. If anyone has a suggestion as to where I can find one id be very grateful.
  17. Anybody happen to know the dimensions of a Superliner grill?
  18. Just wondering. Are those oil filters under the battery box? And, Talk about making some heat!!

    NY HUT?

NY is a nice state to travel thru. BUT, They officially have the highest taxes of any state. What can you do? They cut us here in New England off from the rest of the country. I still do and have for the last ten years go west thru VT into NY to go south just because I refuse to pay Ma and CT their extortion fees
  20. I know its kinda like asking to take your girlfriend to the dance but would you mind telling what that engine cost ruffly?
  21. Yes Freightliner did have a Powerliner. It had a very large grill to cool the Cummins KTA or V12 Detroit or the 3408 Cat
  22. Help! Anybody know where I could find a good grill for an "Eastcoast" Cruiseliner? Part # 25045679. Thank you
  23. Now that's just plain funny. But don't fret. I hear the Burger King is a certified road call mechanic
  24. That's great to see a "irregular" truck being saved. On Ebay someone has a "new" cab for one of these. Thanks for saving a piece of history
