  1. I wonder if "Other Dog" got any photos of the FWD out and about this week? I guess we'll have to wait and see!
  2. Mike please wait a few days I have hay down right now don't think we need none of that 3" an hour stuff thou. we have too many hills and mountains and a rain like that would take out about every road in the county!!!! We would take a 1/4 " per hour for 8 hours, let me know how you do on arranging this so I can plan for it! thanks Rob
  3. Iowa specs sound pretty close to ours, thanks for the reply, enjoy that new trailer smell
  4. congrats on the truck , is the new trailer a meritt or Wilson? I haven't seen spread axle pup trailers like those super15's are pulling on the road for years, are they old trailers or just different bridge requirements? out west we would have grouped axles 2-3 or 4 a . 2 axle pup would have normal spread. the ones pictured in your photos that I know of would stand on the tailgate if the box is raised too high while spreading rock or a big blob of clay that would hang on the gate while dumping.
  5. unless the ambient air temp is like 130f it sounds like you are over charged, or the condenser is not being cooled (no air flow) if able turn eng fan to manual and check. if 90f low side should be about 40ish psi.
  6. Mike can you get a pic of how the springs attach or saddle the axle, I think I have seen this before on either a log trailer or belly dump. been a while and need a better memory jog.
  7. the sooner these dealers realize that this helps them not hurts them , the happier we all will be!!!!!!! I use cat on line parts . cnh on line parts and deere on line parts as well as agco on line parts just about weekly, its the best that we have to counter the parts man who don't want to do his job. the best thing mack could do would be loose the vin. requirement and allow us to "shop" for the up grades we want to do with out chasing trucks down the road to find a vin.
  8. drop the exhaust manifold and look for the "clean" port that will tell you which head to pull also check the oil pan loosen the drain plug and check for antifreeze if found do main and rod. brgs. also.
  9. j hancock nailed it. that what I was trying to say if none of the trans. turn faster than 1 to1 you will never go any faster unless you find a hill and shove in the clutch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. welcome, from south of the boarder from another 89 e -9 12 sp. superliner ( retired log truck ) now a farm truck.
  11. if you invite the T.K. girls we wont have to worry about the police catching you, they will be too busy arresting all the speeders headed to YARDO"s farmer ken will most likely be the first one apprehended !!!!!!! I guess you can use the bail money on him!
  12. rod the drain with a wire. form a loop on the end so you don't "poke" anything that you don't want to. Spin wire as you insert it in the drain. my guess is the tray is ether rusty or filled with dirt and the condensation cant get out quick enough, this is what my tractors have happen to them.
  13. bail money?............ better start one for beer money !..... that will get the FWD out of the garage quicker!
  14. HA HA HA ......do it Mike I wont say a word I swear! what he thinks a 1/2 ton chev. is a deadbolt for a garage door ? what a fool!!!! never put a deadbolt on wheels!! especially a chev of all beer cans, what he thinks one of us plowboys cant have that thing in neutral and down the drive in under 2 mins. WHAT A FOOOOOOOOL
  15. in the brownie is 3td. a direct or 3td. over? if its a 3td. direct why not swap it with a 3 or 4 over brownie?
  16. welcome to the dog house!
  17. YEP he don't have brains enough to do that again! ( I think that's what shot out through the eye socket ) 7500 volts lit his fuzzy little ass right up!!! I got lucky on that one that we were home and caught it right away had a small thunder storm roll through this morning only heard a couple slaps of thunder, but the way the winds blowing if it hit close to anything combustible we'll know shortly.
  18. photos please, this one might take a little research !!!!!
  19. how are they installed? clean and dry or with sealant?
  20. depends on the price for me, I take it it is a electronic v-mac eng. or manual throttle?
  21. ok pictures finally came thru. as you can see our arsonist wont be able to do this again the truck as a 86 American general m925 that our government kindly gave our dept. if we put it in service within a year. so I salvaged some used fire gear and this is what we got, its our 3td. newest ride!
  22. we had one of the manual 400 hp in a superliner dump, good eng as long as the initial timing is correct, we had a pump shop get it wrong and rebuilt the eng twice in one month.
  23. ok it happened 8am this morning I look south and see a plume of smoke while raking hay, I call my son and ask is there a fire or did some one start a tractor? I hear oh crap and then see a cloud of dust as i'm on the phone iam headed out of the field and towards the fire truck the kid calls back and confirms a grass fire, I get to the fire truck and start building air and the wife runs out and gives me a coke and a gateraide and asks wheres the fire and I say our place! got air built and head up the hill as I radio in to county to notify the public utility dist. as luck would have it I had a 150 ft. garden hose close to the fire hooked to irrigation water that the kid grabbed and put to use, I was right behind with the tender and grabbed a 1 1/2 line and drowned the area in water, looked around and found the arsonist, a squirrel evidently crossed phases on a transformer resulting in his death and exploded head! wound up with a 20x20 charred area and 2 slightly damaged power poles luckily my three disconnects and meter base were undamaged.
  24. that green and gold super is sweet even if it does have spokes!
  25. damn less than 6000 miles a year that barely enough to keep the tires round ! nice looking ride the extended straight bumper is a rare one
