  1. I think you are getting a Volvo parts man, there is a minor kit- o rings, poppet, detents, grease. then a major kit that has the drum w/lever. I haven't got the major in a while but I just got the minor 8 mos. ago
  2. Ken: nice thought on a BMT insurance fund, but I think our national debt is a small number compared to all of us wrenching on rusty iron and having to go to the e.r. for limb and or digit replacement. I mean just look at Vlads wheel polisher, now multiply that times the number of members (Detroit owners multiply times 2 more bad shit can happen to them) get total. Then multiply times the number of winfall wimmin with s.t.d.s and this will be your annual contribution to the BMT self insurance fund
  3. did you install a mack repair kit in the shifter or just o rings?
  4. check all coupling boots for tears also pressure test the charge air cooler ( there famous for cracking on the ends)
  5. sorry to hear about the bad luck, hope things are getting better glad you posted the info have the wife checking the policy now! hope the mustang makes you feel great!

  9. Guys if your going to talk in a foreign tongue either post pictures or draw a schematic ! or since your compuker savvy post a tutorial that us dumb folk can follow
  10. I cannot believe the cylinder is still holding together I have seen a lot fail from less stress than that
  11. I think your supply air for the compressor comes from the eng intake air, that said does the truck build air in a timely manor? if not you may have a failed valve in the compressor. you could try a d.o.t. compressor recovery test to see if compressor is functioning in a safe capacity .
  12. Boy she don't hook up at all...................NOT............ looks like a good time!
  13. I hear ya Marcel my 89 sl is the same all mack except Henderickson pad suspension
  14. well now that runs and the pump shop wants your beer money you could try pulling the 9 bolt side cover off the injection pump and see if the barrels turn as you move the throttle link, if they don't move carefully caress the rack fore and aft and you might get lucky or go to ebay I saw several advertised for $800 bucks
  15. if my name was on the door at 900,000 miles it would get a full in frame, your way to close to every thing to come back at a different time and redo 80% of the work to do pistons liners and main and rods. labor and down time cost more than parts!
  16. farmer on the subdivision try the caddy shack approach, the bbq tank can do double duty ! may I suggest doing this on the 4th of july holiday , the local cops will be busy barking dog complaints they wont have time for "its raining dirt in our culdesac"

  21. how do you tell when the last logs been loaded for the day? you turn around and the loader looks like this!
  22. ok will need more info: did it do this all at once? are the wheel stops hitting the axle beam in both directions, does one side hit the stop and will the steering wheel want to turn further? does the timing mark on the sector shaft line up with the mark on the pitman arm? oh does this truck have dual steering gear?
  23. ok its the inside of a superliner its my 89 rw 713, its the only R cab I've seen with this many gauges, must have been the full option package does anyone know for sure?
  24. Pawel: I think a air line schematic of a superliner would be easer to use for accurate placement of the lines. Then use our photos to get realistic routing and placement of the lines. Hopefully a member has a schematic for a R model they will post.
  25. yup multimillion dollar shipping system still fowled by a loose lug nut (DAM'N MURPHY)
