  1. Has anyone on here done any custom flooring or made there own carpeting? My carpet needs replaced bad in the superliner and I'm just deciding if I should go with the factor stuff or do something a little different.
  2. Name: Mack superliner Date Added: Owner: scottwetzel scottwetzel
  3. Rust metallic silver. Turned out great. The chrome covers really makes it stand out!!!!!
  4. Did a little work on the superliner today. Removed the previous owners name from the door, now just need to remove some of the fine scratches from removing the name. Painted the rear wheels and added some chrome. Painted the roof visor hoping to do the fenders soon to match. Added the rear spring to hold my air lines up. She's coming along!!!
  5. Well I was thinking about this..... I'd like to paint it but I have a lot of money tied up in it already so what I was thinking is painting the fenders of the hood and the visor black. What do you think? I might even attempt that bc it's not that much painting.
  6. I didn't end up finding a superliner left exhaust bracket. I used 2 r model brackets and made them work. Also the fuel tank was a used one we had. Needs cleaned up tho. This weekend I hope to get everything polished out.
  7. A couple update pictures. So far I've had to replace the transmission (that took a shot in my wallet), painted the frame black, installed a 5 foot deck plate, installed a air line box with 5 LEDs, installed a slider bar on the rear of the cab, replaced the right side fuel tank, and got rid of the single straight pipe for dual 5 inch mufflers with 6 inch stacks. Still have a lot of work ahead of my self. Haven't taken the plastic off the muffler guards bc I'm not sure if I'm keeping it green. Paint isn't in bad shape but previous owner had name painted on the door and I can't seem to use anything to get the name paint only off. Would like to go red with the truck to match the other one but everyone wants a fortune. Anyone have any experience painting trucks that have any advise? I may do this one. Not sure yet.
  8. Trust me it was torn in a million pieces. Sitting on the rears and the sleeper off. It had to have been there for a long long time.
  9. Must have been aftermarket then cause it was a E6 truck.
  10. I found one of these trucks in the junk yard the other day. I robbed the exhaust y pipe off of it. When I looked at it I thought that's weird this truck has air ride for the year it is. Then the guy at the yard said this truck has a aluminum frame. I didn't believe him. So now I'm thinking the 5 inch y pipe was probably factory!!! Learn something everyday!!!
  11. Thanks. I can't wait to get it in and shift some gears!!
  12. Well..... A Weller reman is on its way!!!!!!
  13. Well we have it apart and found the main shaft is broken which broke the fork too. The parts are around 700 bucks. The problem is it grinds from low to hi as well. The mechanic thinks it may be all related. I think the synchro is bad too. What do you guys think?
  14. I think I'd like to stay with the mack 9 speed. I always heard how durable the mack transmissions are then this happens to mine!!!
  15. I wouldn't mind that but it's a lot of things to change over to a eaton fuller. But I'm open to options.
