  1. Nope. That one I kept the original and just put a red extender on it.
  2. It's actually a metal panel with paint on it from the factory. It's a pain in the to cut thru!!
  3. Do you mean where mine is black and yours is wood? If so mine is a superliner 2. They had black planels.
  4. I ran it to one of the ports on the intake manifold and used a snubber to eliminate the gauge flutter. Seems to work good. I didn't want to cut and tap into the cooler piping.
  5. Well thanks. I use my truck everyday so I like keeping her sharp!
  6. When I take the 4 screws that hold the panel in place there is still tension. I'm thinking the oil pressure gauge is holding it in. Not sure how to remove it.
  7. ok so I know a lot of you guys like keeping these trucks original and don't get me wrong I do too buuuuut the truck never really had any gauges so when installing some I went with Autometer. I just like the way they look, I ended up going with the carbon fiber to kinda match the black dash and I went with needles not digital to keep it old school. My truck only had a fuel gauge and a air pressure gauge on the right side when I purchased it. I installed 2 fuel gauges and a fuel sender in the passengers side tank to measure fuel accurately. also install 2 air gauges instead of the factory gauge that read both tanks with one gauge. I installed a boost gauge and a pyrometer as well. The gauges on the left side of the wheel (oil pressure, volt, and water temp) are factor currently. Im gonna switch them out too but that panel is such a pain in the ___ to remove with that oil pressure gauge in there. Any tips? Finally I changed all the switches out with chrome switches with led lights on them when lite.
  8. keep the pictures coming.... I want to see the sleeper install for sure!! looking good driver!
  9. I agree!!! I've been wanting to paint mine for a year now. I too have a day cab and if you really think about it it's not much bigger then a pickup truck and they are trying to charge over 3500 and that's with me removing everything.
  10. That was so wrong to blow that poor mans doors off like that!! Lol
  11. I couldn't agree more with what you said. My dad and I also use 2 superliners everyday for our business and our trucks are our pride!! People ask all the time why we keep them so nice but like most the trucks are our business cards!! And who doesn't like being noticed in a chromed out shinny superliner!
  12. Your truck must have all kinds of top end!!
  13. Yes exactly. The black rubber fender flares.
  14. I'm looking for the moldings that go around the front wheel housing on the hood. I'm not exactly sure what mack would call them. They were on superliners and r models. Any ideas where I can buy them?
  15. I have a 88 with 24.5s 4.64 rears and a mack 9 speed. I wish I had 4.17s!! At 1800 rpms I'm doing around 74 mph. All superliners should have 24.5s.... Go for it.
  16. I have a 88 superliner and am looking to replace my fuel level gauge. I need to know if anyone has a idea of what the ohms the in tank sending unit runs at? Any help would be great.
  17. Sweet trucks!! Love seeing those old liners!! We still use ours everyday!
  18. Ok I'm gonna take it into the manifold and see how she works. Btw good luck with the upgrade turbo install. I always thought about that as well. Someone has cranked my pump up before I got the truck because the truck pours black smoke. Maybe a turbo upgrade is in my future..... Hmmmmmmm. Lol
  19. Slightly off topic.... Where did you run your boost/vacum line to on your engine to set up a boost gauge? I'd like to run a boost gauge but didn't know where I should plumb it too.
  20. You will need to just find another passengers side exhaust bracket. Even one of those may be hard to find. If you can find one you can cut the top of it and turn it then reweld it and it will be perfect. I couldn't even find another passengers side one so I ended up getting two r model brackets and extending them a little taller. Bolted right up on my frame. Sometimes you have to be a little creative with these old dogs! 😉
  21. I'm flying up on Thursday and I'll be up all weekend. Cant wait to go to the show haven't been in years and get some good bbq at marks feed store!!
