  1. http://youtu.be/DIZ5xCCh_do I copied it to YouTube.
  2. Can't figure out why my video won't work???
  3. Ok so I have this noise coming thru the shifter that only happens under a load after driving on the highway for about 20 mins. My truck is a 1988 Superliner 350 with a new 9 speed trans (less then 10000 miles) I think it's coming from the rear drive shaft that connects the 2 rears but I'm not sure. Anybody have any ideas? Please help.trim.xpffRx.MOV
  4. They are 2 maxxim interoir led lights attached to a chrome piece.
  5. When I bought my superliner the lense cover for the doam lamp was missing so I just had a ugly bulb and toggle switch. So out with the old and in with the new. I love my old truck and the powertrain but some small things could use some upgrades. So here is the doam lamp assembly I made. What do ya think?
  6. I have not.... How do I go about doing this?
  7. Ya I def would like to get some spares. My engine is def a e6 350 as well.
  8. You are exactly right on the hard to find. I've never seen another truck in person that has those 8 lug wheels.
  9. Another thing that is different that I forgot to post is that the aux fuel filter on the frame next to the passengers front wheel is on the inside of the frame rail on my truck and on his it's on the outside of the frame rail.
  10. Your pump is on the front of the engine? From what I can tell the engine is all original.
  11. I assumed they were both e6 engines.... They r both 88s.
  12. We have 2 superliners both which are 88 that are a little different and I can figure out why. Mine has dayton wheels on the drive axles which I happen to like and the other one has aluminum wheels (bud wheels). I get that it's how someone originally ordered them no big deal. This is where it gets weird..... My dads truck with with the aluminum wheels all the way around are 8 lug!!! Mine has standard 10 lug wheels on the steer axle. I can figure out why someone would order it that way. The other strange difference is his truck has the power steering pump bolted to the backof the air compressor and the reservoir on the drivers side of the engine. Mine has the steering pump bolted to the engine on the lower passengers front side with the reservoir bolted next to it. Someone explain to me why they are like this. Thanks scott.
  13. So many people including techs automatically think it needs a compressor. It's crazy!!! I kept telling them how could it need a compressor if the compressor is pumping the system up?? It comes down to when someone else is spending your money it automatically needs a compressor!
  14. My compressor is a bendix tru flow 501. Not sure what the kit part number was. I went to the mack dealership gave them my vin and asked for a unloaded kit. Pretty simple to install even came with instructions. I recommend doing this first. The seals are small and like 84superdog said they are most likely missing or torn.
  15. Ok got it fixed..... This is the update: I replaced the governor.... Same issue, replaced some small leaks on the air tanks, issue still there. Went to the local Mack dealership picked up a unloaded kit for the compressor for $23 bucks. Took out the unloader pistons and there's the problem. The seals were rotted away. Installed the new unloaded kit and everything is working great. Another reason I love these old trucks, $23 dollar fix. That would never happen with these new trucks today.
  16. If it were leaking wouldn't I see a air pressure loss over night?
  17. Are there ways to rebuild the compressor or do u have to replace them?
  18. My pressure goes to 120-125 then stops and purges but never really drops.
  19. So your saying the governor or the compressor is possible bad?
  20. Just noticed my dryer purging way to much. Not sure where to start or what to look for as a problem. My truck is a 1988 superliner. Any help would be great.
