Vlad, What you says makes sens, but LMSW was not that common here, while NR starts the transportation here. Israel was and still is, in some manners THE place for modifying technologies.. it might be th NR was heavily modified. will need to check this unique truck. you most welcome to contact via email guy.edelist@gmail.com Cheers Guy ITRC

yep. this trailer contains milk on it's way to the dairy. please not that was in the the first 10 years of Israel, so we can forgive about using metal tanks.. no one hurts fro drinking this milk. However Mack was THE iron horse of transport in Israel, from '1930 to 2000 when local dealer so called collapsed, sold assets to Volvo dealer. unfortunately tradition did not continued no new Mack here.

Mack NR with 673?
Guy Edelist replied to Guy Edelist's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Vlad. the truck is in the north of Israel if you drop by, we can arrange visit. Taavura Museum is very impressive, they got some B series even EH, however they don't have NR. Mack NR was a great truck in the begging hay days of Israel. the one in the picture i put here use to go in 1948 from afulla valley to siege Jerusalem, 2 drivers in the cabin. it took them 7 hours each direction caring milk cans. the day after came another pair to the cabin, many parts of the "road" were where unpaved. the Lanova engine was not that reliable, only 131 Horse power, 8.5 liter. the boys used to carry sky rocket ridicules loads.. this truck had tipper made in Israel. However the name "Mack Lanova" remains as brand name here for all NR trucks. Guy ITRC guy.edelist@gmail.com -

Guy Edelist replied to Guy Edelist's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
thanks you all for the professional answers. we did not had B40 or B60 here those gasoline drinkers where too much for struggling Israel those days, Gas was expensive, diesel was much cheaper. for example we had conversion of Mack EH gasoline into Volvo diesel engine. what does it means "pump turned down"? you can also reply via my email: guy.edelist@gmail.com -

Here is B43. what is the origin engine type? here is engine looks like 673 but is don't know if if ti's origin, and what is the exact model of the engine. In Israel it was very common those days e.g. '50- '60 to replace engines with whatever engine was available on the shelf. it might be the origin engine was dropped and kicked out to put this one. also this engine in the pictures was original. this 1955 truck had hydraulic tipper made in Israel and 5/2 duplex gearbox. What is the engine in B31P
Guy Edelist replied to Guy Edelist's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Thanks Joe, we would never guess that engine type. here is pic from 1962 B31P model 1955, 'origin' 6 cyl. henchel diesel engine. 100 HP. picture was taken at Haifa, Israel, near Haifa Port. this vehicle went out of registration in 1974. back there was no awareness to preserve such rare things. today our job is harder.. Dear All, there is rare picture of B31P in Israel, only 10 units made there way to Israel in 1955. the engine was 100 HP Henschel engine and 5 speed gearbox + Hi Lo. truck was single back axle and small wheels - 11.00 X 20 The B31P had "maxidine" badge on the cabin side, same cabines where use for B43 and later B61 etc. The German engine was not original and fitted as part from German-Israel compensation agreements after WW2 my question: what was the origin diesel engine in The B31P?
