  1. Looks like she is well prepared for a collision.
  2. I would consider cutting the roof off at the posts and welding a better roof on. I once did this on a 72 Chevy, just make sure to brace the cab before you cut, and measure carefully.
  3. My dad bought a '69 r-600 in '78 he was rebuilding the brakes when he noticed the left front axle didn't fit in very well, turns out the truck was in an accident were a car had hit the duals. We still run that truck and never have went through the trouble of changing out the banjo. Over the years I would estimate it has 300,000 mi. on it since then. It has been a farm truck and sees a lot of gravel roads, I have never noticed any bad tire wear, however you can see a little more wear on the axle splines from it flexing with rotation. While I wouldn't recommend running a truck this way, for a hobby truck with a limited amount of miles I would say it probably won't bother.
  4. What an honor. Thank you for representing Mack lovers.
  5. Does anyone have a t-2130 they would be willing to sell? I have a t-2090 I could trade. I already checked Manders diesel and they currently don't have anything.
  6. I have a good hood and grille, it's not perfect one small crack by the latch and a .22 hole in the a.c. condenser. $700.00 picked up in ND. I would definitely see if a body shop could fix the fiberglass.
  7. Welcome. We have an e-7 300 mechanical we turned up the pump settings, and 350 injectors, not sure if they were the same as the 300's. It pulls awesome now, still has the original turbo. As for the six speed it can take a lot of power. There is a lot of experts on here that can tell you the specific differences of the engines.
  8. I came across that one, but was afraid to share it.
  9. Probably an ignition switch issue, I've got an r model we sometimes have to wiggle the key to get the radio to work.
  10. Cool! Let us know how it turns with a load on.
  11. My parts man actually did look it up but wasn't sure, there was other customers waiting, and he seemed hurried. All of the truck dealerships seemed to be under staffed in the parts department. It doesn't matter which one, the good parts men are usually helping the mechanics who are on the clock, the accountants have learned the public's time is worthless. Any how watt's website shows it as an assembly only so I guess that's how it comes.
  12. Does anyone know if r style vent window rubber is available seperate from the entire window assembly. I went to my dealer yesterday and the parts man didn't think so.
  13. Like Viagra with air brakes.
  14. What ever it would be called it would be cool. At any rate you should be in charge of marketing and design.
  15. E-6 350 13spd. 4.17 rears on taperleaf
  16. Yup it's an old Wylie truck. I will post more pics when we get everything assembled.
  17. Our '86 superliner was still sporting original paint and was showing it's age, so we decided it was time for a redo. Same scheme as it was before, but with an honest patch on the back of the cab, rather than cloudy plexiglass. I had a bunch of 'before' pics but I lost them.
  18. Good to hear it was a simple fix. Pulling a hopper will plug an air filter quicker than most applications due to the dust at point a and b.
  19. We decided to try our hand at windshield installations, as it turned out it wasn't a big deal. A second set of hand is very helpful, all you really need to do is put the glass into the rubber, out of the cab, then put a small rope in the channel, push the windshield against the cab tightly, and pull the rope out slowly going all the way around. A little dish soap is a good lubricant also.
  20. Still learning how to post.
  21. Thought I would add my "advance design" panel truck. Just something I drive when I'm wishing I was looking at a bulldog's backside.
  22. I had 6" straights on my ch and decided it was too obnoxious and purchased baffles from Iowa 80, they reduced the noise significantly, and still had a nice sound. I would definitely recommend them.
  23. Try wiggling the bulkhead connector by the injection pump.
  24. What part of Minnesota are you from? How much are you asking?
