  1. Don't buy one with a Fiberglass handle. I always help the drivers that deliver to us, with their tarps and straps, etc. I always take the forklift and lift them onto the trailer. Just a way to help a fellow driver out.
  2. Well if you guys need some lumber just call me I've went as far as Johnson City.....Are you thinking of driving the ice roads this year? Thankfully there wouldn't be any 4 wheelers in you way so tha would help
  3. I agree that there was alot of creativity put into this. I personally wouldn't do this myself.
  4. I would consider it, but the poor 'ol Toyoter or "The Beater" as we call it couldn't go through to much more. Maybe i could rearrange the Ford......
  5. Who would do that, and why would they......Just go buy a mack, lord knows you've got enough invested in this truck to go buy a decent truck. So Rob you buyin this one...lol
  6. I would bring you some coal, but I don't see me haulin to much in the Toyota, and the Surbaban too nice to haul it in the back. If I only had a dump truck......You know we have to aggervate ya a little bit.
  7. I figured just incase she died while you was in the middle of..uh..we'll you get my point.
  8. I never knew they called those motors magnadyne. Hey Rob & Tom does these ladies come with a pull string so they can bitch at ya or are they silent dolls? Might hve to look into one....lol
  9. Well Rob I was gonna send you around 2 tons of coal, but my goverment voucher wouldn't deliver that far...lol No I have electric heat , anyway atleast you was thought of....Have a good one bud
  10. That's how it always is, Except they are strung out to the electric department around here. Put it this way my electric went from around 120.00 to 250.00 or so, when someone goes on vacation or there's raise we get a raise in our bill...
  11. Suprisingly my BP was fine, "High BP runs in my family bad", my vision was the worst for me. Doctor told me on my first physical that i was overweight for my age, build and so on, Hell I didn't need a doctor to inform me of that....Any who when i went back in November I was fine. Are you on any BP medicines, or was you aggrevated that day???
  12. True love brother
  13. I'd like to get a hat like that for work, kinda needed one today, 24 was the high and it's only 11 tonight.
  14. Glad to hear your gettin to work Paul, the way i see it every little bit helps. Sounds like your coming along nicely on the b model. Hopefully i'm gonna acquire a '55 H-67. Gotta wait on the buyer for my old ford and the 3-53 detroit is already sold so hopefully i'll pull this off. You and the family have a good christmas and a safe one.
  15. Amen Brother

    New Day

I really hate to hear that Paul, after 60 years your gonna have to close the doors. Were i work we have 18 stores out of the 18 we was in the top 5 when i started there, now where in the top 3. Funny how things can turn arund on ya, the only thing keepin our store open is 4 MAJOR builders that are runnin out of jobs at the end of this month. Well one will be done after the first of the year, another one has windows and doors ready for me to deliver whenever they say. The other 2 thinks they might have something else goin' and we have John Q public. When i started we was pullin in 250 customers a day, you couldn't think about settin down, now all we do is sit and possibly pull in 75 to 100. They layed one off outside already, now they are gonna lay one off inside. Well you get my point on this. Thing is I hate to see this, Tom's been settin at the house too, It's nice to have a break, but it's nice to have electricity too. I really hate to hear this Paul especially about a family business, hopefully everything will work out we are keepin positive at work and hoping this is just a really slow time. Paul we will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Good Luck buddy
  18. Yeah the attitude of drivers has really went to crap. Every now and again you'll find some good drivers, very seldom though. I was goin down the interstate a few months back in the 2-ton "when the cb worked" just minding my business, then somon started bitchin abut me goin too slow. I simply replied "I got er on the governor", few miles later a Atlas Van Lines truck passed me, stayed in the hammer lane for a few minutes. I flashed my lights...nothing....I hollared "Come on over Atlas whenever you wan't" 5 seconds later...."GD driver I have mirrors". Started cussin' and rantin about something. I told him that back in the day drivers helped out each other like that.....surely didn't gripe about it.
  19. Sorry bud not had time yet, done used up 2 quarts of tranny fluid in her. Not sure if i'm makin any headway, cause the middle cylinder has really slowed down on takin fluid. Hopefullt this'll work out. I stopped to check on parts for your b, but no one was around at the time. I'll try again tomorrow though.
  20. I found it , but i'll have to wire brush it to see it better
  21. Hang on I'll go look again

    Help!

Around 4:00 o'clock friday evening.....Kinda sad, but i worked for a guy like that, another bad part was he employed about 50 or so people. Hell I'd say we've all been down that road...lol
  23. Sorry thermodyne, wher excatly would they be at again? I'll look again tomorrow.
  24. Well the injectors are out, put the tranny fluid and pb in it. The back 2 cylinders are filled up to the top, and there appeared to be a little fluid in the second one. I'm gonna keep adding to it for a few days and if that don't work i'm pullin the head. I got the numbers off the block for ya thermodyne. the numbers on the left side go CH43 5125423 110 CWD on the right side it goes- 5116383 That's what they all appear to be.
  25. I say that acids on there for good then, your not gonna know what to do when you start driving that 386. Kinda like driving a T-800, still nice trucks though.
