Sorry to hear about your loss of a dear friend. A good friend of mine drives a van transporting the elderly, he's in his later 60's know, but an old school trucker from Oregon. His health is going down and I'm worried about him. Always hate to hear about a death especially of a good friend. Try to have a good one buddy.

Sad to hear about Bernie Mac, he was hilarious on his show.

No, I just thought about it yesterday cause there's this show that comes on called Handy Manny. The boys like watching it and I got the theme song to it stuck in my head.

On several occasions I used a rubber block for sanding for that kinda work. Anywho, I always wanted to learn how to heat lead and fill small holes in with. Kinda self explanatory, but has to be difficult. Some people have the nack for metal work, I have NONE. I guess dad's truck will be a true test for me considering I've never fully rebuilt a vehicle before. Don't work to hard.....

Kinda took the scenic route both ways did ya..lol. I was telling the guys at work about visit to the Amish country, and Mitch told me about when he was up in the amish country in ohio shooing concrete. Said he met some of the nicest people to drink Yale with as they call it. Anyway have a good one buddy.

I couldn't run much harder than I am already, done got too old and tired. At least I get a little more done in the summer because i'm solar powered and start getting sleepy when it gets dark. I understand about getting sleepy at night. You can't say that your old and tired, someone has to truck stuff up and down the road. These new 3 week trainees just cant hack. Anyway I found this for you incase you wanna start trucking on your own. Have a good one buddy and tell Jobingo hey for us... http://www.commercialtrucktrader.com/big-t...F795ST-92643834

I would say the mack, but have some cheap little beat around truck to get around in. Build a cool Bed for the mack, take your girlfriend out to dinner in the mack of course. If she complains about the truck then you don't need her..lol. Just think you could probably get into SOME parking spaces with it. T/A is a nice car, but the mack would get you more attention if that's what your after. It's your choice buddy. That's just my .02 cents.....

I already got my copy so I'm good. Great pics too.

Always glad to help a friend out, even to break out. No I'm not able to go. I'm gonna try to get my crewcab project built over the remaining of the summer through the winter, to go to shows in. When I find a crewcab that is...

Sorry to hear about your hard week, I figured that GM would be a little better at handling things, but times have changed and still are. Back years ago you could take your car in for an oil change and NOT have to worry about wondering if the man put your oil filter back on correctly...anyway, laziness is some of this countries motto I believe, everyone's looking for a handout, wanting a work related injury, car wrecks. People like us have to work everyday to pay THEIR bills. What do we get " 'ah your alright you can get stitches on your own time". I can u8nderstand if you really deserve it, but some people just ride the system....anyway have a good week next week.

That's some McGyver stuff your talking about. Maybe we could lean towards the Shawshank Redemption escape plan. Hell, by time he got his tunnel 3/4 of the way done he would hit parole...lol... Plan B: We could stick with your plan, but use 'Ol Bill Weatherstone to be at a checkpoint....Plan C: Use the mixer to pull down a wall, get Paul then haul A$$ to the border.

yes,fat and happy! I've got a new favorite recipe for ribs, saw it on the food channel show "Down Home With the Neeleys" and I've done it a couple of times, and it's great, very tender. Yes,after you peel off the membrane from the inside(very easy, much easier than skinning a catfish)cook them with indirect heat with the curved side up first (meatier side down),'til they're half done, then turn them over and cook them 'til they're 2/3 done. Then wrap them up tight in aluminum foil and finish cooking them. They said by the time you wrap 'em up they've already gotten the charcoal/smoke taste, and they baste in their own juices in the foil. That's when i'd add sauce, when you seal them in the foil. You don't need to put them in the oven or boil them first, when I did this recipe you could grab the end of a bone and pull it right out, leaving only the meat.Best and tenderest I'd ever cooked. I still use the "boil in beer, garlic and bbq sauce" recipe for the country style ribs, but for spare ribs and baby back ribs the is the best recipe i've tried. Amber watches that show too. You guys talking all this food makes me hungry.

Alright you can have the H-model, in return you have to help me finish the b-model. Just think, he could keep his orange jumpsuit and be a spokesperson for Schneider.

it's a busy place all right, traffic everywhere! Sounds like their letting you see some different scenery for a change. I know what you feel like I go to the same marina about 8 times a week. Glad to go somewhere, but I know that road like the road I live on.
-
never mind... p.s.-did you get your disc yet? Yeah I got it, great pics. If he had gone to the pin for awhile I had dibbs on the h-model.....

Thanks for the info on the typo Paul, I thought about the titlew of your blog and thought it was a joke. Thinking about the title again I would refuse to lick my truck "Suburban" for security because of the birds using it as their restroom at work. You say it's because of your reading glasses, I have 2-8 month old reasons....lol. Have a good weekend yourself.

I'm back, had a great day! Took over a hundred pictures! Stopped by Food Lion in Altavista on the way home, got a couple of steaks and cooked them on the grill. Now I've got to figure out what to do with all those pictures...perhaps put them on a disc and send it to Barry? That's the easy way out, takes a long time to put them on webshots or flickr! C'mon buddy, you can't just leave us empty handed. How about a couple???

Don't feel bad buddy tuesday I got up at 5:15a.m. Layed in the bed till about 5:50 and said the hell with it and went on into work. We open at seven, but the boses get there at 6:30 I beat them there by 15 minutes. Back on point, Have fun at the show, which by the time you read this you will have returned, anyway glad to hear about the mixer you know why they wanted it there? They had to have a good lookin' truck on the lot. Have a good one buddy......

Well I was over on the diesel gypsy's site looking aroun and figured I would update my blog a little. It's 11:55 pm and the boys turn 8 months old in 5 minutes. It's going to quick for me, They both have 3 teeth and they are both crawling. Very fun it is, anyway I about lost my job this week over a big misunderstanding. When I got hired i was supposed to make my f endorsement "Which means for hire" on my license. I took 2 loads out on tuesday and when I got back they said I had till friday to make them or I was fired. Thanks for the warning I said, but I made them. I ended up paying 26.50 after I figured out my class a permit had expired. After I got that straightened out, theyt found out I had a permit and are thinking about putting me as the back up buggy driver + gonna let me use the truck to make my class b's. Hopefully I'll have some newer pictures of the boys to post up soon. Another fun week at Potters Home center I always say, but just glad to be employed. I think I'm becoming more of an all around guy so to speak, I work on the trucks more than I drive then anymore, adjusting brakes, I'm fixing the a/c in the 2 ton saturday, greasing trucks. Well it's late so "I Must Be Off" as Otherdog would say......and Hi ya back at ya Tom...You folks have a good one

As an ex Law Enforncement Officer "Rent-a-cop" I found that every dog has his day..lol...And that everyone has to take a break. Maybe you can hire him a sidekick, or some kind of alarm system for when he's "Off Duty". I say him and Jobyna sit in the bushes in camoflauge while your at work just trying to catch them waskally wabbits. Tell him to keep up the good work.
-
That's not surprising Joe-I've been looking for a comment you made one time about your driving habits, but I can't find it-you know, the one about how you drive 100 mph+ every where you go,and hit whoever gets in your way? I know it's here somewhere,i'll keep digging I'll be truthfull about it, I've never hit anyone "They hit me" and the last ticket was for reckless endangerment only.....lol.....I slowed down alot after the boys was born, but if you see a loaded 2 ton chevrolet that says "Potters Home Centers" you might need to move. I've done showed a few out by the lake they need to stay on their side of the road.....Kepp looking otherdog..lol

Congratulations on the nephew I've got 2 nieces and a few nephews myself. I got twin boys myself, 7 mos. old. Hate to hear about you having tyo leave a company, because you gotta stay ahead not just break even. There's plenty of freight needing to be moved, your like me I wouldn't move much if any cheap freight. Have a good one buddy and keep the rubber on the pavement
