  1. An early rotator-that is the hook can rotate😎 In any case this truck probably could handle most wrecks that today would require at least two rotators plus a ramp truck to pick up any loose parts..kinda of like a ladder truck going to a grass fire.
  2. You are asking a logical question which many ask. Mack spent a lot of money to design the new B Model with its "Aero look" and in so doing produced a cab that was less comfortable and with less visibility than the truck it was designed to replace. I've always felt it came down to marketing guys-even in the early fifties they did exist- who felt they had to offer something new. Ask me what was better about the B, let me think..................uh give me a few more days😎
  3. Given what you have been through, that grandson has to brighten your day!
  4. Okay Freightrain, somthing on BaT you might be able to upgrade. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1964-ford-country-squire-91/
  5. My guess would have been International..with the 2000 series-I think around 63??
  6. I spelled it wrong-"Morooka" tracked dumper that can rotate 360 degrees. I think there are others too that swivel 90 degrees left or right.
  7. 🤙 Alwas nice to get a feel what other shows are like. We did around 450 trucks in two days. I wasn't crazy at first about two days but there is enough turnover from Sat to Sunday to see new trucks on second day.
  8. Sorry about that..but if he did train her, a great employee!
  9. Our annual show was this weekend, attached are pix of Blackdog2's latest acquisition RD 600 as well as his DM-600 that he has had for quite a while but he and his son Matt finally got around to repainting their fleet color of red/white. DM is a heavy tractor with 58 rears and 6speed. Other BM regulars there was Matt (Mattb73lt), and Rich (66DC75) . I thought Hippy (70MackMB0 was supposed to come but if he was there I did not run into him Matts B-73 was loaded down with the usual big Ford 8000 Tractor!
  10. I had same thought when news headline broke...This site is relatively new as a quarry compared to Perkins. Machine was a 374 Cat..A later news follow up a day or so ago, showed an excavator digging a hole not far from the edge of the break..no clue what that was about. Ask your dad if Heidi ran the scale house in his time.
  11. This morning at 8AM , while an excavator was working at the base of a vertical granite cut, a huge section above broke loose burying the cab and tracks so the only thing visible was the boom, dipper and bucket. Came down with such force the boom cylinders were sheared from the cab and the rods were bent. First responders used sound and I imagine some cameras to snake them through the mess to confirm a fatal. If you google "Quarry accident, Sterling Ma" you will probably see news aerials. Looks like the site had a bench cut above but at the point where the excavator was working it looks like the bench cut stopped at that point and the face was probably another 30-50 ft higher-complete guess. News reported machine was working within safe zone and I imagine operator was pulling broken rock out. Think about this guy and his family
  12. Great! Thx for response-as authentic as it can get😎 Zavitz was a NY outfit I think?? (as supported by NY TMT plate)
  13. Wow!! Talk about authentic! how did you duplicate the logo and green stamps? Is that a Page and Page suspension???
  14. Kevin I think if there was a cover up, it was all about the incompetence of ALL the agencies involved-Starting with top of SS. Wirth all those agencies, was there one person in charge? Was there a common radio frequency? Cheatles comment that roof was too steep is absolute bullshit that some staffer gave her and she bought it. Oh I have Fox on tube now..Latest..Iranian plot to get Trump..this will just divert attention to real problem...incompetence of a bunch of agencies. One radio transmission.."Sniper on grounds " or some other code word and SS would have had Trump on the floor of that platform. Like one witness said..I tried to tell cops and ...."they are running around like chickens with their heads cut off"
  15. I too doubt this is part of some conspiracy. I look at the shooter as some poor soul who has been bullied his entire life-which seems to be the pattern with a lot of these fucked up shooters. I understand BOTH of his parents were social workers. Nothing against social workers but what are the odds that this kid heard nothing at the dinner table but .."did you hear what asshole Trump said today?" In any case, when I saw the aerial photos of the property layout I thought the building in question should have had security people on it! A commanding view of the scene. Also I cant believe there wasn't a radio channel that was monitored for an immediate call for max security. As for the head of SS, I heard she came from Pepsico as head of global security. But then I did a search...prior to that ? she was with SS for 25 years!! No doubt buck stops with her but I have to believe that there had to be a detailed risk assessment of that facility that would have high lighted the obvious risks that the building in question posed. Then again looking at the some of the SS gals on scene, no doubt DEI was a factor when they were hired. And the head of SS was quoted as endorsing the DEI movement. And who does the SS boss report to? Mayorkas! Time for a complete review. Think of the money we spend with TSA monitoring incoming arrivals on international arrivals? Think the bad guys are going to fly in to a US airport? They are flying in for sure-but to Mexico and then they take a cab to the Rio Grande!
  16. And the good news he is only 72...but back to reality, who will Trump pick? Burgham IMO should be a slam dunk..only drawback?..can Trump accept a capable guy in that position who will stand up to him and tell him when he is wrong
  17. Amy Klobuchar..She is 64 yrs old and Trump's hope for female vote and big percentage of independents will go her way. He was lucky during debate as the two CNN moderators threw him alot of softballs and more importantly when they threw him a question that required a hard answer, he would use his time bringing up the same old issues sleepy Joe fucked up. I think there was only one time where the broad did a follow up with.."to get back to the question"..at that he still skated. I think our only hope is Trump picks Burgham..a governor, succesfull business guy, someone who truly knows oil as well as big agriculture. Plus someone who will stand up to Trump when he goes off the rails-which you know he will.
  18. Kevin The fact that they won't engineer air brakes for 7.8 Godzilla powered 750's to keep them in class 7 on west coast says to me they are happy ruling the van market with Transits.
  19. Well to add to this bullshit, after declaring Mass is a sanctuary state, she then flys down to the border to plead with officials not to send any more gate crashers as we have no more room- to the tune we are spending 75 million-yes million -for their living "expenses"..a good deal for hotel owners that leased out to the state. She continues to say.."the federal govt. must do more" Plus we had a prison that had been closed -Norfolk-that she decides to reopen to house these people. The people in that town are enraged but have no say.
  20. Supposedly my state tax is paying 75 Million a month. Our dumb ass governor who made MA a sanctuary state, then complains "Washington isn't doing enough"
  21. ahh-but think of the reduced emissions🤪
