  1. Spokes forever! 😎 Old guy here.....Long frame rails..did you relocate the axle? What was it in its other life? Looking good in any case!
  2. Brown salt-where does that come from? I think most of the stuff coming into boston is "dirty white"
  3. As well as an operator regardless of machine😎
  4. For you ATHS members check out the article in the new edition of Wheels of Time. Article is a bit confusing as the author IMO mixes up his story and confuses the blue KW with the new truck. He talks about adding a 4 x 4 then runs the article into the new truck..obviously the new truck has no such thing. What amazes me is the electric motors look very complicated in that the motors are mounted to what appears to be a conventional differential so unlike a diesel electric locomotive, there h to be some sort of gear set up that converts motor shafts from "east/west to north/south". That set up had to cost a fortune to assemble..unless someone is making them as a production item??? Any of you Cat guys familiar with the D7E? I assume those motors are direct to the drive sprockets?? And if you go back 70 years or more the LeTourneu scrapers, articulated rear dumps were that way. His drive system was called an electric wheel hub motor.
  5. Still wish they had squared the upper corners of the hood..give it a real A-car look. And if they rounded it for aerodynamics, we are talking about a vocational truck, not an interstate cruiser.
  6. IMO add Western Star to that.
  7. Rich and Harry...so do YOU guys have goldfish???😎
  8. Hah..I had the idea they would be good if you wanted to take your goldfish for a ride!
  9. EJ Per-Lux "fog" lights? I remember..after a while you could see the water accumulating in them!
  10. Rich, I hear Boston Sand is shipping a batch plant To Gaza...business will be very good soon.😎
  11. thx for clarification..glad you are back !!
  12. Again, it seems every thing these guys do says money is no object. the F max has been out 2 or 3 years now? do they have the sales numbers?
  13. I do believe you are correct..How about it KSC??
  14. I think "extra Female" had to do with I assume a corporate plane accident? No clue-I was asking😎
  15. Speaking of the devil!-A cars that is. Ran into a friend this AM. Retired but he drove for a Mass contractor, always a nice fleet of Macks. Then he bought a new Paccar. Just ordered a new A-car triaxle.
  16. Well an impressive piece of "iron"...but think of what a new rotator can do...granted for a million bucks!?
  17. Well O & G remains in business bigger than ever. D'Addario is gone right?
  18. There are a few dump trucks in service in eastern Mass. Been a very slow ramp up though. The truck was introduced ??? two years ago?
  19. Likewise...if it was a reference to KSC I just think he is a guy who has a lot of irons in the fire..unlike this old retired guy😎 Glad he dropped in again.
  20. Hah..ok thought you were referring to a "license to carry" as we have in States😎
  21. Note my smiley. You are right ..You really set that dumb shit straight. You felt good and he probably said to himself, "sorry I asked". The usual stock answer to that question most guys at shows give with a laugh, when asked that question..."because SBC's have always been the most cost effective mod..plenty around and mod parts are plentiful-but Fords are slowly catching up". And the guy asking the question will have learned something. And as for my comment on working the dock in Europe, the translation of that is ...All Euro trucks look the same. Cab overs and no conventionals. Your "handle" says it all.
  22. Yes that was the "CL" that replaced the square W series. If you met one coming at you on an interstate off ramp the cab tilted so much you would have thought it was going to roll over.
