  1. KSC...Where have you been...Stick around! ..Always good to get your view on the world scene. Our Aussie pals always give us a good view of the down under scene but nice to see what is going on in Euro. Also as always wondering if any of these big bucks being spent in Turkey somehow make their way here...in particular as far as the smaller diesels go.
  2. Well Dave thx..I get so tired of going to shows and there is a beautiful 32..With the distributor on the wrong end😎 Well I guess if you were in Europe you would be working on the dock loading ALL of the ugly trucks😎
  3. With the size of the dump "pan" vs the old one, and if the operator says it is slower, seems like they went backwards.
  4. Good guess Hippy but the turkey's ass is piped to it's beak. You've heard of scavenging exhaust?
  5. So it it electric..? looks like a big genset underneat it. Check out Sennebogen's website. Family owned business. There was a big one working at the golf course near me this summer. Wheeled unit like a 4 wheel rubber tired excavator but I'll bet boom and dipper stick totaled 50 feet or more . looked like it had a mulching head on it so this sucker could reach up like 50+ feet and chew a tree top down.
  6. Wow! Pan looks smaller than old system. Payhaulers will fit? PLus Generator ?? Not diesel powered? Pan must have a hydraulic lock device vs old cable dragline system??
  7. wow! Never knew they made such big stuff-that is a replacement or an addition? What is max boom rating? Who owns GT now?
  8. Guys, Try this IMG_0662.mov
  9. I imagine you got more than one thumbs up too😎 1700 at 72 MPH..now that is nice! Then again you probably are surprised by the number of "steering wheel holders" driving a "large car" with a visor that is 6" from the hood, who pass you and don't give it a look. What really pisses me off is when I'm out in my 68 Bronco and I encounter some millennial driving a "new" Bronco and I don't get a second look! My two sons each have 74's...same experience.
  10. 10-4 on that...but in my old age i have a hi tech one now and this is what I do with it
  11. Have no fear..I would bet the only thing that gets on this bed will have rubber tires..attached to a valuable vehicle😎
  12. Do they still do scrap with the old IH Payhaulers and the big "dump pans" on the dock?
  13. Hah..must have a good tax base😎
  14. Missed these...What does a small municipal do with three triaxles? What is that long hood Granite??
  15. where is that? Is that a prefabbed section that gets rolled into place???

    UAW

Very good Mark-if they did, couldn't happen to them

    UAW

This paragraph says it all IMO. Now it appears the union, encouraged by defeated Mack worker and unsuccessful UAW International presidential candidate Will Lehman and a Socialist rank-and-file committee, has intertwined the Mack strike with brinkmanship in Detroit. There are 34,000 of 146,000 UAW members striking selected GM, Ford and Stellantis plants while other plants are operating. When union leadership has their own "cause", usually associated with their need for power, the members get screwed.

    UAW

If you want to read an interesting view of the current strike that effects the "Big Three" and Mack, go on You TUbe.."UAW Strikers Starve While Shawn Fain Gets Rich" This is an Autoline story.
  19. TJC, Educate me......I saved that as a PDF. Why did Bob Have a problem??? I was surprised though when I posted the picture it came out the way it did vs the picture.
  20. Here you go.....B-81. rt front.pdfB-81. rt front.pdf
  21. Your choice or theirs? Broker using anyone who will work for less?
  22. Classic for sure..steel still coming into NH?
  23. Volvo has a huge plant, New River Valley in Va. I think it is also a UAW represented plant but different contract dates. All engines..Mack or Volvo are basically the same now and come for the former Mack plant in Maryland. I would imagine, if Volvo merged Mack into Volvo the biggest savings probably would be administrative and engineering of new models.. Now clue if they could absorb the Mack production at New River. Again hope it never happens but.........
  24. No Bob, as I see it "God Help them". the Mack workers IMO are drinking Fain's Kool-Aid. He could give a shit about Mack, it is all about the the dues payers at the "big three". The Mack UAW leadership negotiated a contract in good faith and they reached an agreement subject to ratification. You can bet that Fain had to sign off on that deal. Then when the member ship votes it down by a big margin-my bet too many see the crazy numbers that are coming out of the big three negotiations, they want the same thing.....and in a situation like this where the membership votes a contract down, the smart union leadership would say.."we did our best but will go back to the table again. Fain throws out the tough guy bullshit-like he didn't have any say in the initial settlement deal. Like I said, he could care less about Mack and what happens to it. IMO they are forgetting what has typically happened in the truck business. Look at history...Mack buys Brockway..Brockway goes on strike..Mack solves that problem. White buys the old Sterling...then says "hey, Sterling competes with our Autocar flag!-bang Sterling is gone. White owns the combined Diamond T and Reo then shuts that down. White is going broke and WhiteGMC is formed- and that is gone. Consolidation is the name of the game. I'm sure there are top level guys in Sweden now who are saying, why do we need this bullshit? Hope it doesn't happen but the old Mack customers who built their business with Mack trucks are old...and guess what... "Built like a Mack" no longer counts.
