  1. Uhh-Aero as in like a brick??😎 But beautiful-what a "truck" should still look like!. But I'm so old I have to say as a kid I hated the look of the "round" Mack when the B came out.
  2. Yes he was at Matt's This KW not close to size of an M but big enough-planetary rears-took these shots in 2004-they were delivering a transformer across from Chelsea terminal
  3. I saw him a couple of weeks ago and he did not say anything about that. We were talking about off road stuff and I said something like.."why do guys get stuff like that and you can't show it"-he just smiled and said.."to look at it"!
  4. EJ That is the M45?? or is it 75? How about it Kevin?
  5. Unreal! Given cost of all that specialized equipment, and I'm sure very low utilization rate, can you imagine what the bill was for this move?
  6. Nice Rich-so does this mean you will host next Board Mtg?😎
  7. All good news-will be interesting to see how the new Sprinter does. You can bet there is a lot of reverse Transit engineering in that. Older Sprinters I see running around here are rust streaked! Wonder where MB mounts the batteries as Transits are under driver's seat-not pretty.
  8. Rich-I'm told there is some other guy named "Rounds"-so that is not Danny's truck-so he says.
  9. Yes-kind of surprised by that. And production of 650/750 is low so it muct be all the 450/550 chassis that were moved there.
  10. Good news. Ford owned the fuel oil delivery market in the old days with LN -8000 and C-8000's. At 33,000 gvw, a 2800 gal tank. In my area today, its all F'liner, Paccar and International.
  11. That is why the rumored 7.3 V-8 is so important. Lower first cost, good power, and if you are not running high annual miles the economics make sense.
  12. Thx for jumping in with your experiences. As for your comment on...."first look under the hood....." makes me wonder if the new GM/Navistar class 4,5,6 with their tilting hood does anything for their sales because of improved serviceability.
  13. And just what make is that Loco?
  14. My guess? he drove off the bank while loaded. Tailgate is unlocked so maybe they dumped load before they tried to pull it??
  15. Well it seems to me, that there was little remembrance today on the newscasts. Nothing but ongoing bullsh*t over Cohen. Comey, blah blah. Sad state of affairs.
  16. this blows my mind-talk about "balls". How does this guy get through the red tape the government imposes i terms of all of the testing, safety compliance issues etc. Hmnn -perhaps these things will be sold at Harbor Freight???
  17. Please Kevin don't give them any ideas-my Ford stock couldn't stand it And how about this quote in that Reuters piece....Ford executives say they have no special plans to counter GM's expanded truck portfolio. "We're just going to do what we always do," said John Ruppert, Ford's general manager for commercial vehicle sales. If you read Roadway's post on LA auto show the above quote demonstrates why they were not at the show-stupidity, arrogance or both.
  18. Very nice... surprised he didn't say.."and to all you GMC dealers who are still pissed because your friends at Chevrolet are getting the new class 4, 5 and 6 trucks and you the former "truck people from General Motors" are not. I say..Get over it"
  19. The .."Allison branded transmission manufactured by General Motors...."???????????? So is this the 10speed developed jointly with Ford?. Except I guess the Allison name equates to ..what? Bullet proof?
  20. Hmnn. Bill Ford said..."the culture fit is good". I guess he hasn't heard about the diesel caper yet😎
  21. Wow- I just went to Boyer's web site-impressive-you are right on-they have all the bases covered.
  22. I think the bigger threat is Navistar selling these trucks. We have a former Ford heavy truck dealership in the Boston area that is now an International/Ford medium dealer. In their ads, they NEVER show any new Fords other than 550. Once these class 4 and 5 and 6 trucks hit their lot, guess which trucks they will push? Plus, if I have a fleet of mediums and heavies -down to class 4- am I likely to go to my Ford dealer for a class 4/5 and my International dealer for the others? I don't think so I'm afraid Ford is going to do nothing but lose market share unless they wake up and do something with class 6 and 7 to expand their offering-to include going into baby 8 with a tandem and some power train other than their in house Power Stroke/Torque shift.
  23. Thx Kevin-Never saw that commercial-back when they really tried to be in the business versus their half hearted attempts today-at least in the US.
  24. Have no fears Jim-that 250 cake is already baked! I worry about the new stuff being designed. Buddy of mine has a new one-loves that 6.2!
  25. Hmnn- If you thought the recall rate was high before, just wait. No doubt nothing like a flatter organization chart to speed up things-as long as the right people don't get cut. And who will be the first to go? The senior people. And as always, some of them have been "hanging on"-but my bet is a lot of talent will hit the road. Who will be left?- A lot of Hackett cheerleaders.
