The days winner

Well Rowdy you think you are making a joke. Guess what..an NBC "journalist" - Katy Tur-was on some talk show comprised of other loons and actually suggested because "Lurch" did so well in a couple of counties he "just might be a candidate fort a presidential run".. Actually some in the group started laughing as in WTF but this dumb ass was serious!!

Well guys my two cents as I see it, in a lot of cases, in the primaries Trump endorsed candidates that many said were the less qualified/capable than their opponents who won the nomination-but they blew smoke up Trump's ass. Like OZ....a celebrity, but viewed by a lot of PA people as an outsider. How can you lose to Fetterman--a guy who couldn't express a thought, was hostile to our energy industry, and is always dressed up like he is ready to go trick or treating???? Note he was always wearing Carhartts ..like he ever got his hands dirty!! But in any case I looked at these Trump backed candidates and said.."hope they win". But I thought the silver lining if they lose? This will diminish Trump's appeal. And we can move on in '24. But guess what, Trump couldn't for once keep his mouth shut and announced the day before.."I'll be making big announcement on the 15th". Again ...always about him! I'm convinced that was a final straw for a lot of undecided voters. Just like in 2020 election-I believe in the theory that a lot of Biden votes were not votes for Biden- they were "anybody but Trump " votes. I heard a comment on Fox yesterday AM, don't recall who made it but said.."there is much support for Trumpism, but NOT for Trump." Meaning a lot of his policy actions were correct, but his ego, personality will always turn off too many who say.."give me a break"! Like his attack on DeSantis and Pence the other night. You can bet he is scheming right now as to how he can piss on the DeSantis parade. As I've said before, I voted for him twice as the lesser of two evils, but next time, the Dems will learn something-you would think??..and they will have a real candidate versus an empty suit like Sleepy Joe On another note, Hippy..you should publish a book with all those cartoons you have posted...would be a best seller!

Hang in there Matt-after all your fine work I'm sure this will seem like its all downhill. -
i never liked the '64's vs '63's but they are starting to grow on me-in particular when you see one with that big blower on it!😎

What we need are true patriots who run because they feel they can make a difference. Few and far between.

I'm sure I'll piss some people off with this, but I voted for Trump twice as the lesser of two evils. And for sure he would have done a better job than sleepy Joe. But it should not be a choice of the lesser of two evils. (listen to Tobey Keith's.."Happy Birtrhday America") Time for Trump to move on. I will bet that more of his candidates that he endorsed and won the party nomination will lose than will win. Here in my state you can vote for anyone in primary elections regardless if you are a registered in either party or you are an independent. This year in the race for governor, Republicans had a choice between a very successful businessman who has never held office and a guy who served one term in the state legislature and ran unsuccessfully for senator-but was endorsed by Trump. Guess who won- the Trump guy by a narrow margin. After that election I wrote a letter to the Boston Globe and said..."Either Republicans are stupid or a lot of Democrats voted for the winner". Trumps ego will always get in the way of good judgement IMO. PA same situation- I wish you guys in PA luck!

On Sunday Bronco Owners Northeast held our Fall Cruise. Started at High Octane Classics in Auburn MA and ended at Northeast Broncos in Walpole. High Octane Classics is an unreal operation. Owner basically buys decent vehicles-no rust buckets- most of which are decent vehicles that an owner started to work on and either lost interest-or ran out of funds--got divorced😎?- so this operation would finish job. to give you an idea they shipped 6 vehicles to Barrett Jackson-Houston this week. Probably 50 vehicles on property from Ferraris to an International Scout including all sorts of Mustangs and a lot of big block Bowties. Check out website. Probably 50 first gen Broncos showed up and at least 50 NEW Broncos. Cop blocks Rt 20 eastbound and we left as a group headed to Walpole via Rt 20, RT 140, Rt 1A. Northeast Broncos is a Bronco restoration shop. They had probably 25 Broncos on property they were working on...most interesting, a 79?? that looked like the body had been soda blasted and it was awaiting a new 7.3 Godzilla! 63A26257-3A01-4850-948D-84AC03F5C25C.heic D3EE5FB4-F2E3-46A7-9865-2F82627FC0F7.heic

His press "lady" tried to cover this with some bullshit. How could you possibly make such a mistake. He had to make a public statement when the gal was killed a month ago. Then again he probably never even read the press release attributed to him.

OD..great job, thx. Nice show!

Trump and Immigration (Illegal Immigrants in the US)
Red Horse replied to kscarbel2's topic in Odds and Ends
How about this quote today that showed up on an AOL post... "The [governor] from Florida wants to follow in the footsteps of the one here," Guzman said. "They're trying to make life miserable for Venezuelans." Can you imagine this coming from one of the gate crashers. Others commented on the "danger" that these "poor souls" faced when they were sent to Martha's Vineyard. These people actually think they have some right to do this. In the meantime, the "tent city" in Boston.."Mass and Cass" is building again after the city kicked their asses out once. We have enough problems of our own without adding thousands more every day. -

Matt, While I knew a lot about your CSP and Mil experiences, thx for taking the time to give us all such a rundown. I would have to say your parents did a great job as the apple truly does not fall far from the tree. -
For sure! But no "flags"....so a sleeper or a 289? 352 2.bbl?

Great Matt..have to think your experience as a pilot had to influence everything you did..no room for "good enough" or "i'll deal with it when I have to" -
T, Agree on that! and my first thought was given the beef of the rest of the tires, that lift looks like it has rubber that might last a week! As a percentage of weight tandems must scale out at, why bother with ....? 11-24.5's??--un less of course the law says..."4 axles gives you X pounds"-regardless of specific weight rating of individual axles/tires But an impressive beast for sure.

Wow-hopefully that vac tank is used for oil as opposed to.....ugh septic?? iIn any case a beauty.

Mack trans weights
Red Horse replied to Red Horse's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Planetary sets I'm told is how Ford gets 4 more speeds out of what looks like the same case. Google "Ravigneaux" That is what concept is. -
Mack trans weights
Red Horse replied to Red Horse's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Thx- reason I'm asking not Mack related but Ford is going to start offering the 10 speed auto used in F-550-and I think F-600, in the 650/750 Power Strokes. You can get a 750 with a 37,000 GVW. In questioning the durability of the 10 speed as it doesn't weigh much more than the 6 speed currently used, I'm thinking 4 more speeds, how does it NOT weigh substantially more -as in Mack Duplex/Triplex/Quad. Answer I'm told is the Ford 10speed makes use of planetary gear sets- the Ravigneaux concept, which I never heard of. The Mack two sticks?? Just a lot more iron i'm sure.
