I would have to believe though that these guys who get such foreign assignments get a certain amount of schooling when it comes to PR with the locals. Its one thing to have a beef with someone. Actually Vlad to go back to my point I misquoted- the misprint I believe is in the comparison with the 11:00R 24. If the revs/mile go down, it has to mean the radius of the tire is greater.

Kevin, Seems like I've seen enough press info that does NOT rule out the Everest. IMO, we are flooded with unibody crossovers. It would seem there is a market for a unique true SUV-old school Explorer. Might not sell in Westchester county NY but plenty of other places where people appreciate a true off road capable vehicle-I hope

KSC, With everyone attempting to develop an "in house" engine line up, what would it take for Ford to bring at least the 7.3 and the 9.0 to the US? Again I really can't see Ford getting back into the high end of class 8 but IMO they are missing the boat by not having a tandem vocational based on the 750. There has to be a market for a low cost tandem that meets weight laws and is not expected to run a 100,000 miles a year.

I do believe this truck has changed hands at least once in last year. The guy that had it before the current owner had it in its current condition. So a bit of mark up going on here. It is a very nice truck in any case.

I would think if anything, might there be some effort to roll back the compliance dates a bit? The objectives might be good, but are the compliance dates unrealistic? I would think with more time the industry might be able to develop a better end result. On another note, all the discussion seems to involve auto production in Mexico. What about trucks?? Are not all Rams/Mopars/Dodges built in Mexico? A lot of Freightliner production? A lot of Navistar production? As with a lot of issues, Trump will have to depend on the good people he brings on board for advice-I hope! Just saw a Jack Welch interview that seemed upbeat on just where the "real" Trump will be headed.

Thx guys. Very interesting that UPS springs for V-10 powered 650's. Any OAP employees on this thread that might have a clue on size of UPS order? On another note, I was talking to a guy at a Mass steel service center yesterday. These guys have a number of new 750 Power Strokes in service. typical like 20 ft flatbeds. They replaced a bunch of older Cummins powered 750's. In a word, "no problems". He went on to elaborate-no problems compared to the old ones-constant issues involving the issues associated with the emissions issues and the regen/def BS. Ford dealer would say "take it to Cummins" and Cummins would say "take it to Ford." No issues from a driver perspective.

Wow- huge news. Friend of mine currently fighting this and you can see the decline by the week. My mother-in-law also had it and unfortunately it lingered with her. I have to say when a person's body may be functioning but the mind goes it is the worst.

Andy, Thx for that info- seems to me the truck had a slightly different look but maybe I was confusing it with another binder. By the way it dawned on me after I posted it, but that shot was taken outside the church. Note black bunting on grill. great guy who went too soon.

R-230. I'm not sure of what an "M" was but I think they had a shorter hood-the typical R model cab and diamond plate fenders but a different look. Attached is a picture of Dave Mauro's F-230-done with the usual attention to detail as was the case with all of his trucks. Last one Dave did before he lost his battle with cancer.

Old guy here- I assume that is a Windsor? Seems like most of the Windsor blocks I see advertised are like 377? 378? 406? I can relate to Fairlanes however, ordered a new 428 CJ Torino, C-6 in 68. It was an unusual notchback-most were fastbacks. 4:30 rears and it would upshift 2nd gear rubber with ease. And about 12 -13 mpg!

Wow- and a gas job at that AND the Ford logo still in the grill! Kevin, I do believe I saw a new 750 boom wrecker on Cape Cod last week. It was in traffic and I could not see if it had Power Stroke badges but this was a Super Cab, long wheel base with a big hydraulic boom. Could not imagine with a stick that big it could have been anything but a 33,000lb 750 if not a 37,000lb. Also I recognized the colors as those of an outfit that I have seen with at least one new 450 rollback.
