  5. The truck was originally delivered to Port Hueneme. The truck was later loaned to CBMU 303 from 1996 until it was surplussed, that is the reason the beep sticker is white and not red. The picture was not taken in the US. When we tore the interior of the truck apart we found a current map of Baghdad behind the glove box.
  6. I grew up on the east coast always seeing the mack running around in the construction industry. In the late 80's I drove several mack r and DM series trucks. I delivered lumber in a three axle R series with a steel bed. I also drove an R series tractor hauling a 40 foot flatbed carrying lumber. Later I drove a 1974 DM600 roll off truck. All of these trucks had the two stick trans in them. My current toy is a Ford FT900 that was used by the US NAVY SEABEES. This truck is all wheel drive. This is the truck in military service This is the truck now My current project is a F800 tractor that was originally purchased as a parts truck for the FT900 but it ran to nice
  7. Where was the Hayward CA factory?
  8. The modern systems do not have a button and use a temperature sensor. Both of my ex navy trucks have the system on them, they have never been used and do not have a bottle installed.
  9. Db engineering makes some nice products to insulate the firewall, floor, cab roof and cab back wall
