  1. http://www.wjhl.com/story/26879849/nashville-man-accused-of-raping-3-year-old-child?clienttype=generic&mobilecgbypass ---snip--- ...sorry, but if I witnessed a 19 year old RAPING a 3 year old, ESPECIALLY at a FAMILY GATHERING, calling the police would have to wait 'til AFTER I finished beating the sick POS into a bloody pulp. MFer wouldn't have the luxury of being fitted with a set of chrome bracelets...only a toe tag.
  2. HA HA!!! [/Nelson voice] Jimmy's out of the chase! Always happy to see the blue oval in victory lane...Keselowski kept his championship hopes alive.

    WTF?

Danica Patrick LEADING? At Talladega? Keep an eye out for flying pigs. Anybody see the weather forecast in Hell? Still 15 to go...so it ain't over yet. Dang stuff happens fast. Harvick spins getting into the pits (being blamed on Danica slowing down too much getting into the pits)...and then somebody else spun going out...caution.
  4. Jeff Foxworthy's Redneck Dictionary is gonna get a new entry... Ebola: We went bowling last night and ol' Johnny whooped us all...ebola 235!
  5. Look closer...see how there are air, electric, & a hydraulic line hooked up to (gasp) a 5th wheel plate at the bottom of the cylinder? Yup...that's a 39' frameless end dump wagon being pulled (or pushed in this case) by my CH613...or did you miss the part where I was getting my rocks off there at the end?
  6. ...always cracks me up when an OTR guy who can't straight-back into a wide open dock to save his life starts running his mouth about how dump truckers can't drive.
  7. It's always a good day when you're just this good... At least you're honest...
  8. How many pull-ups ya think this oughtta take?
  9. Glad you got 'er figgered out.
  10. You do realize that the reason they are squeezing you out of your LI farm by making it impossible to farm it is because that acreage could generate a heck of a lot more tax revenue if a developer comes in and builds subdivisions. In my grandma's neighborhood, every lot used to be an acre. Then, as people got old and died, a developer came in and bought up the properties, and every time he had 2 adjacent properties he'd put in a culdesac with 5 homes on it, each priced at over $500,000. Now my grandma's 1 bedroom, 1 bath, single floor home that was originally a chicken coop before my grandparents made it a home is worth more than my parent's 2-story, 4-bed, 2-bath home just a half mile away. Why? Because of the acre of land it sits on and what COULD be done with it. The politicians have figured it out, so they make it impossible for you to farm it so that you abandon it to sell it willingly. That saves them years tied up in court trying to use eminent domain (thanks to the liberal SCOTUS justices and their Kelo decision), and then they can have the property taxes from new homes and businesses to spend rather than be limited to the agricultural use tax rate for the land. It's all about money, and those greedy bastards know how to get their hands on it.
  11. Rick, this is the "odds & ends" subforum, where topics other than Mack-related items are free to be discussed. If you do not wish to read topics unrelated to Mack trucks, you are free to stick to the specific Mack truck-related subforums...there are several to choose from in both the "General Discussions" and "Specific Topic Forums for Antique & Modern Trucks" sections of the board.
  12. Last week after fuel was deducted, I had about $60 for every hour I worked. Of course once you deduct maintenance and repair costs, taxes, insurance, etc. I'm left with about $10.25/hr with time and a half over 40.
  13. Watching the debate for the 12th Congressional District. We've got my State Rep ®, and the incumbent US Rep (D), and then there's the nut-job "Green Party" candidate. I just wouldn't believe there were people this ridiculously naive to what's going on in the world if I wasn't seeing it with my own eyes. Typical aging hippie from the 60's "give peace a chance" tree-hugger type who thinks we are the source of all of the evil in the world and fracking and coal should be abandoned asap. Yup...take us back to the stone age by getting rid of the source of 39% of our nation's electricity while preventing extraction of the fuel used to heat 61% of the homes in this country and responsible for another 27% of this country's electrical generation. In other words, where is this eco freak going to plug in her electric car when 2/3 of the nation's electricity ceases to be generated and 6 out of 10 homes no longer have heat? And education needs to be free, all of the way through college and the minimum wage should be raised to $15+ per hour because everybody should have a "living wage" even if they are incompetent and don't have any skills or experience to justify that sort of wage, and all of the jobs that were WORTH $15+ per hour have dried up because coal is no longer mined and fracking for oil & natural gas has been banned. Wow. The fact that she's given the time of day, let alone a podium on the stage at this debate, is pretty sad. Total waste of time every time she opens her mouth.

  15. Here's a thought: Anybody who enters this country after having been present in ANY country where Ebola has a presence, should be required to be a golf caddy for 6 months. Maybe then Obama will give a damn about keeping them out to prevent an outbreak here because as golfer-in-chief, he'll have to choose between his golf game or keeping himself from potentially being exposed. It'd probably be the toughest decision he's ever made, and certainly would be the first he's made without political motivation driving the choice.

    Ebola

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/10/04/gave-me-big-hug-fearful-daughter-dallas-ebola-patient-girlfriend-says/ So this guy in the Dallas hospital came in close contact with a person dying from ebola....and then lied on some forms in order to leave Africa and come here to increase his chances for survival when he developed the disease. The leaders of his home country have called the act "unpardonable" and have taken a pretty harsh stance against the act...meanwhile in this country, nothing. People are actually saying we shouldn't stop flying in and out of these affected countries because we somehow owe it to them. Screw that. He ought to be charged with 1 count of assault for each and every individual he has come into contact with....everybody he shared the plane with....everybody he interacted with at the airports....everybody in his apartment complex....everybody in the hospitals, buses, taxis, and wherever else he's been since his arrival....and the sentences are to be consecutive, NOT concurrent. 90 days per person....so 100 people = 9,000 days....more people, more days. And that is if NOBODY ELSE gets sick! If somebody DOES get sick as a result of the contact they had with this guy out to be worth an attempted murder charge...and if the disease kills them, upgrade it to murder. Being Texas and all, that would probably be considered a capital offense. Harsh punishment would discourage others from attempting to come here knowing they have probably contracted the disease....knowing that even if the disease DOESN'T kill them, our justice system will if their actions brought harm to any of our citizens....and even if they don't get anyone sick in the process, they still face felony charges and will probably spend the rest of their life behind bars. Otherwise, it is going to be a free-for-all....and no telling how far it'll spread.
  17. 1) Chock the wheels so the truck won't roll. 2) Make sure the truck is aired up. 3) Release the brakes. 4) Tighten the adjuster good & snug. 5) Back it off 1/4 to 1/2 turn. I usually go 1/4 turn and tap the drum. If it rings like a bell, I know the shoes aren't dragging on the drums. If it sounds muted, I'll try backing it off another 1/8 and try again. Don't go past 1/2 turn, though, or you risk getting into the "out of adjustment" territory. If the shoes are dragging on the drums, it is going to hurt fuel economy, make a lot of heat, and wear the shoes and drum out prematurely...so it's best NOT to leave them dragging if you can avoid it. One of the possible causes of the problem you are having might be caused by the way you are adjusting the brakes. The constant light pressure between the shoes and drums will polish them both up real good, decreasing the friction they are capable of making when you apply the brakes, causing your brakes to suck. To solve that, you'll want to scuff up the shoes and inside of the drums with a piece of sand paper to get rid of the polished surface....and then properly adjust the brakes so that they aren't constantly dragging.
  18. I was only reading the dern thing 'cuz I heard a rumor that they were cutting back on the ether to make it more difficult to use for tire seating...ended up buying a different brand that said it has a high ether content.
  19. NOW how'm I gonna get them stubborn tires mounted?
  20. ...even if it DOES come from Arby's: http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2014/08/26/could-tackle-arbys-10-meat-mountain/
  21. Yup...sacreligious to put a Chevy motor in a Ford, or any other unnatural combination.
  22. I'd love a '48 Ford...but I think I'd go the other way with it...Dana 60's front & rear...perhaps a mechanical 7.3 diesel, 6-speed transmission, and a 2-speed transfer case. It'd have to at least be riding on 35's...
  23. I don't get paid if I don't work...and all you lazy f'ers taking the day off means no work for me. I done missed the last week of work with my drive shaft issues and this sitting at home not getting paid just ain't gonna pay the bills.
