First a 11.00 at 124 mph, another 11.00 at 124 mph and the last run a record setting 10.87 at over 130 mph. Modified Street Truck class saw the MACK R-Model with a customized hood from Paito's Trucking Inc set a new record for a Street Truck with 13.70 seconds on a 1/4 mile race track. Old MACK R-Model. Heritage Edition R-Model?

I do like the RD II hood. I have seen older R, RD truck hoods fitted with RD II headlights. funny fact is that same kind of headlights used on the RD II where used on some VOLVO trucks of the time... -
Heritage Edition R-Model?
EM6285 replied to vision386's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
I wonder why MACK didn't do the same for the DM-SERIES, the DM-LEGEND, after all DM Series trucks with their off-set cab where side by side with the R-Series in many vocational applications -
The new MACK TRUCKS are working great, no issues at all and the SCR System and DEF additive have worked great. This is a friend's (me posing) truck with MP-8 505 a MAXITORQUE 13 Speed and Mack carriers. He likes the power of the truck and the FUEL ECONOMY. Of all the modern diesel engines the MACK MP-Series is the one that is working with no mayor issues at all. International cheap built in MEXICO trucks are a sorry ass excuse for a truck, INTERNATIONAL are JUNK, MAXXFORCE engines are garbage junk. Where is the MAXXFORCE 15? Dead at birth. Want a new CATERPILLAR diesel engine? Get your ticket for a "CAT YELLOW" painted MAXXFORCE ADVANCED EGR piece of junk. Come to our NAVITRASH dealer so you can see the piles and piles of INTERNATIONAL cheap built in MEXICO trucks at the service station. One of our MAXXFORCE 9 engines just craked a "compacted graphite" engine block due to coolant pouring inside one of the cylinders due to a cracked cooled egr valve. TOTAL REPAIR COST $8,000+. I rather have a MACK over any INTERNATIONAL POP-STAR or FREIGHTLINER CRAPSCADIA. Everyone is liking the new MACK trucks with GOLDEN BULLDOG. MP-8 505 and MAXITORQUE. MACK TRUCKS still puts on their web-page all available transmissions for the MACK PINNACLE tractor and MAXITORQUE remain there. Is up to the customer who wants to buy a new truck to spec'd it right and do not let any "sales-genius" change its mind. On the "Automated-Manual" issue.... "It is O.K for MACK to have Eaton-Ultrashift but it is a SIN to have the M-Drive" ????

Nice pair of MACK TRUCKS. A MACK PINNACLE work truck and a MACK racer. * Mack Race Truck is powered by a Detroit Diesel 8V-92 engine but unreliability issues with the engine has its owner thinking about using another engine and I told him to put a modified MACK E-9 V8 on it because MACK E-9 V8 can make tons of horsepower with no need for NITROUS OXIDE. Paito's Trucking. This is a Modified Street Truck which is purpose built for Drag Races. It can be driven on the street also, and maybe used to do some work. Powered by a MACK EM-6 diesel engine that had a factory rating of 285 HP, this Modified Race Truck set the record for a heavy street truck modified for drag races. With a 13.79 seconds pass on the 1/4 mile race track at 101 MPH.

This is the only one I cought with the hood open. Any other one I miss it. Race-Track is so huge (about 1/2 mile long ) I got many problems with the equipment on that day and the scorching 101 degree temperature got me on the grand-stands watching the races. There were some modern MP-8 powered MACKS with hoods open but I got no chance of taking pictures of them MP-8 engines... I do check the engine block for some detailed info...

boy, those paint schemes of the older trucks are awesome... kinda makes me custom a new truck in that paint fashion..
