    I took a side road that ran along side the Santa fa railroad in tehchapi California. This was the famous tehcapi loop that most railroad buffs know about....well map view looked like I would be fine plenty of room. Some tight turns. No restrictions etc... I had that race car trailer inches from stone rock cliffs and rock walls trying to get around turns,oncoming lane. But I made it and got to see some cool views....but next time I will take the. Car or bike instead!. Guy did the right thing and stopped.

    If I recall the last batch of trucks Greco bought was in the mid 80's about 7 years ago I stopped in to check out the 2 rs700l they had for sale...at the time they had 1 or 2 very low milage R models just sitting up on jack stands not being used. Think they just had them for spare trucks? They seam to have been doing a lot of trucking lately, not sure if they have been busy with road work or other projects....?

    Anyone who supports a Muslim president after all we have been thry with them.....is a traitor....regardless of what party the president belongs to.... To bad Americans have to deal with the overwhelming amount of sheep that keep breeding.... Regardless the 1 million bikers really put it to the cock sucking libs today. And they proved a point that you don't need permission of the government to show support of the fallen or to remove the Muslim protest scheduled for today...     I went into queens last year with a 53' freight trailer...it sucks......seams every one from NYC thinks its normal to drive a big truck into streets made for horse and wagons?.....after my adventure i would bet that 90% of NYC would make a 30' trailer a pita to get around.... Good luck that area looks just as tight as the place I went into.....oh man.....this will not be a good day for you....

    Really nice r model.....how is the interior? I never liked the wide spread look either but I bet they rode nice on air...our spread axel trailers rode so smooth.

    I came out of long island heading thry queens and exiting ny from the south went across a toll bridge that was $70 some dollars.....wtf... My best advice is if you can....go thru ny city at night...you think Chicago is bad in the day time......ha ha......I can't wait to hear your story on this run...the gw bridge is pot hole hell on the east side.... No where to park.... Just get thru it at night and hopefully get out a different way.....good luck!

    What trans do you have in the truck now? The 237 was a turbo charged maxidyne non inter cooled only need 5 speeds The 285 was a turbo charged ,side mount charged cooled maxidyne only needed 5 speeds The 300 was a turbo charged ,front mount intercooled maxidyne needed 5 speeds The 315 or 300+ was a turbo charged thurmodyne side mount charge cooled,needed 7 or more gears if I recall . It was not a low lugging engine

    I used asphalt sticky back sheets on the whole inside of my RS700L cab. Made a huge improvement in sound reduction. I can't comment on heat reduction but it cut the vibration noise level down pretty good.

    My new horton fan clutch on my rs700 was less than 200 and I recall not to long ago when they sold new for less than 100.

    It will fit with ease....the 700 series had options for Detroit,and Mack early v8s. If i recall The e9 is no longer than the inline 6 turbo fitment may have to be adjusted but should work

    G&D valueliner Tanzillo RD's and Starks R770 at Chicagos Mc Cormick place for the public works show. This place is historicly a Union Nightmare! They want in your pockets and think they can do everthing better than you. Tanzillo #35 "old style"

    Replace feed and pickup lines, they'd re cheap and easy to do. May want to replace the vent valve as well unless the fuel cap is your vent. There may be a check valve in the fuel return or feed. May want to replace that as well. If it still has issues it may be the pick up pump can't keep up at idle. This little pump hangs off the main fuel pump and has the in and out lines attached to it.

    Hows his hand doing???....lol...... For some reason I always thought that truck would look cool with a 2 tone paint job....white stripes along the hood lines with pin stripe accents.......are you going to paint it into stark colors?

    I have seen maybe 2 u models with a sleeper. Both were just small 36" bunks. It looks odd coming at you with that off set cab and big sleeper wall hanging out. Don't think it would be easy to get in and out of the bunk....he'll a r model with a 36" bunk can be a pain..

    Saw sids rd and this valueliner owned by G&D....the valueliner got a new cab about 5 years ago

    I used a standard steering wheel puller.. Has 2 or 3 jack screws...i would spray the splines with some PB blaster A day before to aid in pulling it... Some are stuck on tight...others slip right off... If you ever plan to remove it again use some anti seize on the splines when you install it..

    Always thought the LTL and L cab long hood B models had that classy look to them. They just had that similar look of a high end automobile from the same period. They stood out among the rest. For the newer Mack's a western R model sure has nice lines to them.
