  1. Nice to see you still run the old dog. Thought you had retired it for good...
  2. I thought the V8 superliner was parked? You get board of that ch yet?
  3. Aluminum is nice for pit work bur imo Steel end dumps are the real deal for construction. You can haul anything and not worry, I like the new logo but fix those dogs on the mirrors!
  4. Yea they seamed like nice trucks, I wish I took a pic of them when I saw them...why did they close doors. Seamed like business was good then wham....they were dust in the wind..
  5. Al....where did all the Gana rd Mack's go....last I saw them was at a pit near algonquin or Elgin?....remember them all lined up ready to work or sell...
  6. It's not bad but needs a lot of attention. Frame has been welded cab has some rust. I would give about half that much...
  7. Looking good... Who's superdog in the pic...
  8. Looks good...what was the before and after WB? Edit...I saw your first post with the WB . Question...did you add rail it or just slide the trunnion back, drill new holes and bolt in.? My RS700L sits factory at 206" and had a 36" bunk on it. Way to short with a bunk imo....I want to stretch it out and would think a 240" would look ok but seeing you were at 236" stock and went longer....I may want to put mine at 260" don't think I have that much extra rail behind my trunnion.
  9. Looks good. A buddy had a red r model with similar looks. Budd front spoke rears. 350 and a 9 speed. We ran a load of mail to the east coast and hauled a b model cab home....3 day trip Ina day cab was pretty worn out after no sleep lol...
  10. nope....If someone is close let me know. Im intrested in it...
  11. Thanks,.... I was always scratching my head with how their number system worked.
  12. So if my vin is Rs786lst32474 it was the 31,474 off the line? What did I miss? There were only 27698 made??
  13. Talked to the guy today he said it last was used full time 7 years ago...used as a yard dog for the past 5. Needs work to drive it home...bad tires etc...
  14. Looks like you have the mack automatic power divider. It locks in when wheel slip is detected. You won't know most times when it is engaged. It's nice because most of the time it locks in before you know you need it. The manual "air switch" power divider you had to lock it in before you went off road and remember to unlock it before you ran down the road and burned it up..both have their good and bad points...
  15. R= Rmodel L =Aluminum frame 700= long hood Series L= light weight components yes air ride was offered back then. it was popular with western trucks of that time
  16. Interesting..I thought the superliners would have out numbered the RS.RL models but it looks to be the other way......was there a brake down on the RS/RL Production?
  17. biggest issue is parts. Even the later E9 V8 stuff is either very $$$, hard to get. The older V8 parts are always out of stock. you can still get aftermarket but who knows the quality. Just as heavy steel frames had issues of spreading and cracking....The Alum Frame can be just as much or even more of an issue if it was neglected. look around all the spring hangers, cross members motor mounts etc... where ever steel and Aluminum meet without protection it can erode and become weak. some times they held up great if the truck had alot of oil leaks and was looked after properly. My advice is to really inspect that frame for cracks or patch jobs. Hopefully he has some paperwork on who did the rebuild. ask about the pump as well, some of the V8 fuel pumps cost as much as a complete 6cyl overhaul....no joke... Trent
  18. That is a great idea....and would be sad wake up call...
  19. They look like toys...
  20. sorry about that, I just wanted to show off my new sun glasses.....that's all.
