  1. Here are a few more stolen from Facebook.
  2. No problem... I should note that the red rd is a glider kit. Its still red and his brother drives it now... Actualy pj and I moved a machine and attachments this past weekend. I drove the red RD and it's a great running truck. I will grab some more pics next time I'm at the yard.
  3. here is the Pete and his RD last summer. His older r model is pictured in 06' or 07' we were running clay out of Chicago. I don't have any others on my phone . I will check my computer for more..
  4. if i remember right PJ hauling started with 2 of his dads " Tanzillo" R models just hauling dirt. PJ later bought a late 90s Rd on air ride from a chicago fleet that i think hauled bulk cement? He ran all 3 trucks for a while hauling both dirt and lowboy. He sold off both R models about 3 years ago and focused with just his newly rebuilt RD. his RD just did lowboy work as the dump trucking dried up...Last year he bought a ex central crane 4 axel Pete for even bigger moves. That RD is great for the everyday stuff needed in the city and the Pete moves the real big stuff. We keep talking about building him a 4 axel superliner with a big inline 6 cyl for power..
  5. That truck had a 300L with a 6 speed. It was a 62mph truck untill the pump was tweaked. Last time I drove it it was turning 2200rpm and was good for about 73mph.....75 if you pushed real hard on the floor boards.
  6. Cool idea Witt the over head console. The plastic ones always crack with age...
  7. I have them on my RS and like them. Mine have lights at the tops as well...My thought is that if you have a long hood. Your all good. Just don't put those spot mirrors on the hood!
  8. I have seen some Fuel haulers with a weird looking muffler. Way to big and hanging on the rear of the cab. Wonder how much weight those things add? NO THANKS!
  9. Wait....you let that little day cab pass that big old V8 of yours? Please tell me you just entered the hiway from an on ramp!!!! LOL
  10. your old....ha ha ha ha.......Happy Birthday O.D.
  11. If your painting them just go steel and paint/ under coat them. I would expect stainless full fenders with brackets to be about 1000.00 My stainless half fenders with brackets were about 500 had to drill and bolt on my self...no kit for them
  12. IIRC...Alan smiths V8 superliner burned up shortly after he died. Shame, It was a nice truck... I Haven't seen the Northern IL superliner or the butterfly hood wrecker in a wile...
  13. Ok start from the easy part...does it have oil ...seriously...lol....just asking? If she has oil in the pan Try pulling the turbo drain line off the turbo and bump over to see if you have oil flow there. Put a 5 gallon bucket under that oil drain. It will be gushing if you have any pressure...If not I suspect you either have a clogged pickup tube, bad oil pump. Or you have bearings so warn out that it canT build pressure....the line that feeds the turbo comes right out off the main oil gally so it should really move oil a few sec after cranking....let us know and yea we want some pics of this truck...sounds like a rare dog..
  14. Most likely a 237 but things can change over the years... If the engine runs but won't show oil psi on the dash gauge. Pull the gauge remove hose and place it in a empty 2 liter pop bottle or large container with small spout. bump the engine over with the throttle stop out and withing 20 sec of cranking or so you should see oil coming out the hose... Carefully it will come out of that hose kinda fast. If no oil after all that cranking start looking for the problem.
  15. Something's wrong here... I don't see any black smoke...
  16. My 1977 rs700l and 1982 22' contractors special end dump weigh in at 28,500 Think my tractor was 17,500 with me and half tank of fuel last time I weighed it.
  17. My truck saw 5.5 mpg loaded and maybe 5.7- 6 empty. All depends how you drive it. I had the fuel bumped up and smoke shows when I wanted...we ran hard some days when paid by the load, or kept it smooth when paid by the hr. If I recall we did 150-200 miles most days putting in 30-35 gallons every night. Some days we saw 300 miles but that was mostly city to the burbs and back. 3 loads a day maybe 4 if you got lucky. Unless you haul out of the pit most of the time a steel trailer is best. Yea you will weigh more but working by the hr or by the load does not matter. With steel you haul everthing you want...My experience is you tell the loader how many buckets to put in and as long as your trailer is full you go to the dump and that's that. Better safe than overloaded.
  18. Nice to see you still run the old dog. Thought you had retired it for good...
  19. I thought the V8 superliner was parked? You get board of that ch yet?
  20. Aluminum is nice for pit work bur imo Steel end dumps are the real deal for construction. You can haul anything and not worry, I like the new logo but fix those dogs on the mirrors!
  21. Yea they seamed like nice trucks, I wish I took a pic of them when I saw them...why did they close doors. Seamed like business was good then wham....they were dust in the wind..
  22. Al....where did all the Gana rd Mack's go....last I saw them was at a pit near algonquin or Elgin?....remember them all lined up ready to work or sell...
  23. It's not bad but needs a lot of attention. Frame has been welded cab has some rust. I would give about half that much...
  24. Looking good... Who's superdog in the pic...
  25. Looks good...what was the before and after WB? Edit...I saw your first post with the WB . Question...did you add rail it or just slide the trunnion back, drill new holes and bolt in.? My RS700L sits factory at 206" and had a 36" bunk on it. Way to short with a bunk imo....I want to stretch it out and would think a 240" would look ok but seeing you were at 236" stock and went longer....I may want to put mine at 260" don't think I have that much extra rail behind my trunnion.
