  1. Underfunded? We spend over half the federal discretionary budget on the military. We spend more on our military than the rest of the world combined.
  2. You guys sound like your building your fantasy navy to fight World War Two again. Now that most any country or terrorist group can build or acquire their own drones, weaponize civilian vehicles and craft, and even stash suitcase sized nuclear weapons for remote activation... Your whole "big navy" strategy is obsolete.
  3. The 1st generation Broncos are collectable because they are an exceptional design for the time, even if they made a lot of 'em. Same with the M151 "Mutt", another way ahead of it's time Ford product that is now near extinct. And if you want a real rare but significant Ford, how about the Taunus "Cardinal", Ford's front wheel drive German offering from the early 60s?
  4. But when it comes to damaging America, nobody can match Trump!
  5. Trump would be better off if he just shut up and laid low the next 4 years... He's just digging himself a deeper hole!
  6. Around 25,000, far exceeding the 427 Cobra production stats, even if you include all the "continuation" 427 Cobras.
  7. Trump will be out of office before he even figures out that IH exists. Remember, this is a guy who complained that he didn't see any Chevrolets in Germany, because he was too dumb to figure out that GM sold the Opel brand in Germany instead.
  8. The only Bronco that really stands out was the original, because it was way ahead of the Jeep and Scout of the time. But it's not rare, even though it was a slow seller by Ford standards.
  9. BTW, it's "show off your next years model in camo" season here in south Florida, saw what might have been the upcoming Ranger followed by a possible upcoming Bronco 4 door on Collier Boulevard. Both had styling reminiscent of a shrunken F150. Didn't have camera with and I don't take pictures of "test cars" anyways, 'cause the manufacturers want free publicity. Heck, you don't do "secret testing" on a 6 lane highway in the middle of the day...
  10. Shows how behind the times Trump and his administration are... They're still living in the 60s and think Chrysler, Ford, and GM are the American Big Three.
  11. Trump is pushing a losing economic plan, increasing capacity in the face of markets that aren't growing. He's pursuing the same strategy with pipelines, where the current glut of gas is making additional capacity questionable. Heck, I suspect the oil companies that contracted for the Dakota Access Pipeline's capacity are secretly thanking the protesters for delaying the pipeline and allowing them to get out of their commitments!
  12. Ain't gonna happen... The U.S. EPA is just one of the parties to the VW settlement, and CARB and every state and class action lawyer would have to agree for the agreement to be reopened. As for emission standards, we might see some future ones put off, but the ones already in force will stay. While a pre-EPA2004 diesel is a dream for some, the manufacturers have moved on and don't want to retool to build old engines for half the country... It's just not worth the bother.
  13. Trump is clearly in over his head... No sane automaker is going to invest billions in additional plants in a mature market like the U.S.!
  14. Looks like it'll be a good fit. That 4BT outa a Hostess truck?
  15. Need 2 modules at once? Trailer with a hook, too. This system would make a lot of sense for small towns- One near me has a half dozen similar trucks with different bodies- garbage truck, dump trucks, bucket truck, fire truck, fire tanker, etc.. Couple trucks with interchangeable bodies could probably do the same job more efficiently.
  16. So? You were expecting the republicans to impeach Trump?
  17. There were previous republican administrations, but Trump may have eclipsed them all when it comes to "alternative facts" in just his first weekend in office.
  18. Sadly, the looniness and outright lying of the last few days will be SOP at the Trump White House.
  19. I suspect the Transit Custom would be a better size for me if it were available here, I've got the usual 2 meter tall roll up door clearance on my shop. It's 2.4 meters floor to ceiling so I could get a low roof Transit in their if I converted to a swing door, but that's too much hassle. Going by Ford's recent press release, an electric Transit Custom will be among the products coming to Flat Rock, hopefully they'll build the gas and diesel models there too. As for USPS, they might buy 5000 or so to meet current needs, but they want something with stand up height inside for their LLV replacement order, which means something more the size of a Transit. IIRC Ford has a proposal in on that RFP and may win the contract. Canada Post, without a big van making industry to protect, bought the Transit Connect.
  20. For Trump. it's all downhill from here...
  21. Enjoy Trump while you can... The protest marches today had far bigger crowds than the inauguration in Washington alone.
  22. The scary thing is that Trump has no understanding of how cars and trucks are built, and thus no understanding of how international sourcing can sometimes save jobs both here in the U.S. and in other nations. For example, I've been looking at buying a Ford Transit Connect and wish it was made here, but it doesn't sell in high enough volumes here to make domestic production profitable. If Ford couldn't import the Transit Connect from Spain, we'd lose a lot of the U.S. jobs that produce parts that go into it as well as jobs in the dealer network. Throw up well meaning but thoughtless tariff walls and we'll see U.S. auto plants closing left and right.
  23. Given that the muslim population is a majority in many places and vastly outnumber the jews and christians, how come they haven't acted on your purported animus and wiped out the jewish and christian minorities? Are they too lazy to carry out that mission, or are you lying to us?
  24. And were not both world wars largely started by christian and shinto countries? I could paste a list of all the atrocities perpetrated in just the 2nd world war by the Nazis and Japanese, but it'd probably crash this site. Suffice to say, every religion and ethnic group has their tyrants, and it's unfair to label every follower of those religions because of them. I know several muslims and they're peaceful people, do any of you muslim haters actually know any muslims?
  25. You're making a mountain out of a molehill.
