I have an 88 superliner 350hp with a mack 9sp and mack rears. The problem is that the speedo reads about 22mph off of actual speed confirmed by gps. It is a consistent doesn't vary going faster or slower speedo doesn't move until you are running 22+ now when I bought the truck was told it had 3.86 gears was also told of the speedo issue and that it was suppose to have 22.5 talls and he put low pros to gain clearance pulling a van trailer. So I requested the build sheet from the museum and the truck originally had 5.73 gears so what part do I need to change to correct the speedo and odometer? If it was a show truck or purely personal farm truck wouldn't care put will be running either leased to my father in law or the place I bought it from pulling flatbed and hopper bottom running midwest states so true cost of operating per mile is important and so is accurate ifta reporting thanks. Need a vin for a truck with factory 3.86 and mack 9sp. Figured out why me speedometer is off the truck came with 5.73 instead of the 3.86 in it now. Thanks

Seller on ebay says it's for a mack but doesn't know what model. Didn't know if someone here could tell by the picture I'm waiting for measurements and will post when I get them. Looking to put one like this on my superdog

Nope it was bought new by sterling express have the original issued indiana title from Jan 1988. Haven't changed it yet

Yes its from sterling express in Valparaiso IN it's actually gonna be leased back to there and put back to work probably at the end of June 1st part of July after u get a couple other thing fixed

You have to realize I own a straight pipe Ford powerstroke and a John deere diesel 2 cylinder that's straight piped so loud really doesn't bother me just wondering

I have a question how loud is a 350 straight piped? Would like to put dual 6" on mine

Peter mack thanks yep I see she's all stripped down today I would love to get the drive train out of it so when the 350 e6 and 9sp in my 88 give up I could sWap the e9 and the 12sp into it plus would like to stretch mine and the frame rails should be a perfect fit for a suspension jump

Yes it is I'd be interested in parts from it the dispatcher for Catom said he taught he sold something off of it so if you know the guy give him a heads up to stop in the shop it's sitting by and ask for Nick I have cash and would pull the parts myself

Could be its from Aurora IL. It's sitting at the shop I work for the owner drives for Catom Trucking down the street and they share part of the lot with us. I talked to Catom's dispatcher and he is suppose to tell the owner to come see me

I don't think they are 44k there is only one torque rod on them wasn't able to look for the data plate to see if it's a 500. I know the paint is shot it's all falling off of the back and roof of cab

The odometer had 440k on it looked original

Single frame mack rears didn't crawl under to see what ratio it had has 2 line wet kit and air slide Holland 5th wheel

Gonna attempt to get this bought not sure if I'm too late or not Specs are rw613 e9 and a 12 sp on camel back looks like a decent truck have no clue about history or if it runs the doors got light surface rust the hood looks good. Looks like it's been sitting in the weeds for awhile What you guys think would be a good price?
