  1. Happy to report that Josephine Ruth came home today. She was home for less than an hour and there was already thievery and dissension in the ranks- "Small" confiscated her nook for his own supply and would not return it.
  2. Sure- if you want to pay obscene prices because it's from a Fire Equipment dealer.......Get it from McMaster Carr or a hardware store!!!!!
  3. Yup, absolutely a Hayward F-Model. The dead-ringer give away is the aluminum step with the two cutout. Also the different style radiator cowl (bigger, for a bigger radiator for bigger engines......) Rjkwelding, if you send your serial number to the Mack Museum they will send you copies of whatever they have in the factory archives. You want to email it to Don Schumacker at the Museum. The wait is 8-10 weeks. Make sure you send a nice donation when you receive your box in the mail, you will understand why when you receive it. My father ran a single screw Hayward F-Model with a 300 and a 5-speed with a 2-speed Rockwell rear. He worked for a trailer broker (Charles E Danbury) and delivered brand new trailers out of the Trailmobile factory in West Point, Pa. near Philly for years. Put about 700 large on the clock of that one (bought it used.) By the time he finished with it (rotted out) it had a million plus.
  4. Find out what the street address and municipality is.....Using this information I can go onto that county's Board of Assessments webpage, plug in the street address and name of the township/borough/town and the county and I should be able to come up with contact information of the current owner.
  5. Contact Don Schumaker at the Mack Museum.
  6. Nothing less than $50. You will understand when you get the 10lb+ package in the mail.
  7. Damn!!! You actually look like you know what you are doing!!!
  8. Unfortunately yes- in Hayward R-Models 12V71 DD's were an option. Why I have no idea and anyone who would want one on purpose should get their head examined. But yes, V12 DD's were available. Hayward trucks only, not Allentown Trucks.
  9. 1. Contact Don Schumacker at the Mack Museum via email. Advise him you are seeking copies of your factory archives. Give your VIN in the email and your home mailing address. Be advised there is an 8-10 week wait as there are many requests and the museum staff is all volunteer. 2. Upon receipt of your very thorough and well put together package that comes in a heavy box as it will include manuals, send the museum a nice donation. 3. Do not be cheap with said donation.
  10. Did you give her the plastic toy hammer- you know, for smashing her fingers to keep her mind off the noise????
  11. About that next one.......The plumbing was shut off in February........
  12. Looking good! You coming to Macungie? I'll let you drive mine if you let me drive yours!!! LOL
  13. I am not familiar. That's way north of me. I rarely get on the extension north of 78/22/309. In fact the last time I think was labor day weekend back in 2010 to go to Steam Fest at Steamtown NHS in Scranton. I never travel on major interstates (especially ones leading to the Poconos) on holiday weekends but this was in the name of steam locomotives.
  14. Yeah my hands are kind of full at the moment.....LOL. But where exactly along the NE Extension is this, you never know- wrong turns have been made before in the name of curiosity. The logo on that COE A-Car looks like it may be an old PECO logo but not 100% sure.
  15. JOSEPHINE RUTH YARDUMIAN 4/24/2014 at 1524. 5.1lbs 18" length. 6 weeks early (Due date 5/31/14.) "EXTRA SMALL" The events of the last 36 hours were a sucker punch that we had no clue was coming. The wife has a whole slew of medical issues that I wont bore you with here, but they caught up with her the past 2 weeks; but especially on Easter Sunday when she had to go to the ER but they kicked her loose after a few hours. Then, on Tuesday night she was having trouble again (extremely high blood pressure....) and she called the OBGYN who had her come into the ER again. They decided to admit her for observation. Then on Weds afternoon it was decided for her health to "evict the tenant." Around 8pm Weds Night they started the induction and damn near 20 hours of labor later, we are the parents of a baby GIRL. Everyone is doing fine, with the exception of Dad who is shell-shocked at the thought of a girl after having had three boys. (We did not find out the sex of any of them until they were born.) MACUNGIE 2014 will of course be her first truck show!!!! Here's a pic of Mommy and Extra Small Here's a pic of a proud Daddy and Small, Medium, Large and Extra Small. Note the look of "Holy SHIT I have a DAUGHTER" on my face.
  16. There is so much wrong information in that article I don't know where to begin. Poorly researched and written.
  17. Try the Brockway folks at the Museum in Cortlandt, NY perhaps they know of a Brocky guy in your area that may want it. Also there is a Brockway Facebook page, you might try posting there as well.
  18. Has anyone here ever obtained an associates or bachelors degree online? What was your experience like? What is your degree for? Anything you would do differently? Am I insane for considering trying to get a degree in Disaster/Emergency Management at the age of 40, with three kids (well, four in another month or so......) I have never gone to college in my life and was not the greatest student in high school. But I have always done well in topics that interested me. Yes I know there are a lot of prerequisites and elective classes I will have to take, that's absolutely in the decision making process. Right now I am just pondering. I also would need to line up the money.....cash or grants or .....shit.....loans.......But I think this is something that I really want to do- to better myself mentally and professionally....it's also a pathway to more coin in my pocket. Chime in, want to hear your thoughts. Thank you Lads.
  19. I don't see the kickstand? Or is this the model with the extra heavy right side frame rail ????
  20. Someone has way too much time on their hands but I was pissing my pants laughing........
  21. It was the SOUSAPHONE. And I divide my time between the criminal underworld of the Lehigh Valley (I sell Waukesha engine and FWD parts out of the back of a black caddy) and the Hellertown School for Wayward Nuns.
  22. I don't ride motorcycles and was never really interested in them but that thing looks bad as hell!!!!!!
  23. joemac- there is a good source within throwing distance- Try GL Sayre over in Conshy!!!! I know they used to have a lot of NOS stuff. They also helped me find a headliner for the R-Model I/H cab on my FWD.
  24. We had them all open, but it got down to 28 here last night so we closed all the windows.
  25. Hey, Goofball......Are you bringing the Tiller? If so let me know and I'll save you a space next to a REAL truck........Just kidding.....Come park next to, and party with us!!!! I bring the truck out on Friday AM and park it there overnight, Macungie is only 20 miles from my house. If you come out Friday make sure you sign up for the ATCA "Family Reunion" dinner.
