  2. Hey Tim, this is Randy Yardumian, we worked together at Engine 69..... (IIRC you were on the B Plt.) Jack Sassani just posted a good pic of that the other day sitting in front of the station which I copied and posted onto another thread here somewhere that was discussing Mack forums. I am pretty sure I have heard that there were approx 15 "N" model Mack firetrucks, I am going to ask Harvey Eckert (a renowned Mack historian) how many there were- unless Mike Martinelli knows and chimes in here.
  3. Isn't someone on here that has a Superdog doing this right now? They posted pictures of a cardboard mockup just a few weeks ago......Was it leversole???? I can't remember?????
  4. Oh man I can honestly say I am J E A L O U S !!!!!!!!! I wanna drive an MH!!!! (BTW Slpwlkr has seen, sat in, and heard the FWD start and run, but when he was here it was night and I had her pulled into the garage backwards to do some work......But I DID promise him a chance to drive her next time he was around and the conditions were right (daytime and no damned liquid (frozen or otherwise) or salt on the ground!!!!
  5. Staxx beat me to it- dry ice works great- my Dad and I used that when we did an in-frame on his 300+ in his Allentown F-Model.
  6. The SPAAMFAA Winter 2014 Conference/Muster is Feb 5-8 in Charleston this year but if you want to go you need TO ACT FAST!!!!!!
  7. ........You press the button, and he comes out and hands you a set of ear muffs and a gallon of oil, and then smashes your fingers with a ball-peen hammer.
  8. mmmmmmmmm Hayward F-Model......my panties are getting moist.....But I digress.....While most Allentown trucks were pretty standard with very limited available options, Hayward trucks had many options to choose from. My father's own single screw Hayward tractor had a 300, 5-speed Spicer and 2-speed rockwell drive. Unfortunately, one engine option that was commonly purchased in Hayward tractors were Green Leakers.
  9. Careful!!!!! Comments like that could get your ass re-arranged!!!! LOL
  10. I got my crabs at Dirty Dicks in Avon, NC.
  11. Found this video on youtube........
  12. Here's a pic of me and the family 2010: Here's a pic me this past Thursday AM:
  13. Here is a photo of the N-Mack pumper in Croydon, Pa. (Bucks County.) Credit to the original photographer, from the collection of Jack Sassani
  14. You scrubbed with a stiff scrub brush and mom's lye soap when you got home, right?
  15. Local Code Enforcement is required to keep these records on file in your mother's property file. If it was indeed abandoned properly, legally and with documents, I would tell the buyers to GFY- you want it done, it's on your dime.
  16. Not sure about the truck, but I deal with this as part of my job...... If the underground tank was properly and legally abandoned in place (top cut off, all oil/sludge inside cleaned out and mopped up, and tank filled with sand or other inert materials and tank re-sealed) then it should be OK to leave in place. Unless Florida's laws differ from Pa.
  17. In 2-3 months, go look at it and take $2K in green with you. Flash it at him and let him smell it.
  18. So is he in jail or not???? Inquiring minds want to know!!!!!!!
  19. Uhhh, may I see your building permit please? Oh? No permit? Send the concrete back!!! You may pour after you have an approved permit in your hands!!! (yes I have said these very words before....!!!)
  20. Pay particular attention at 1:30
  21. I wonder if there is a Trunk Monkey (lawyer option) for court appearances?
  22. Great chicken (pork, too....) rub boneless breasts or a boneless pork loin with some extra virgin olive oil- not much, just a bit. Then rub in a good amount of montreal chicken seasoning. Wrap in foil and bake at a low temp (325) for about 45 mins for the breasts or 1 hour+ (depending on your oven) for the pork loin. I have tons of great recipes- what do you like????
  23. 3208 with 60,000? That should blow just about any day now.
  24. I thought monkeys and lawyers were the same thing
  25. Don't forget Hayward, California.
