The Ward 79 Steel Hood Retrofit

Two examples of FDNY CF Macks with Ward 79 bodies and 4-door rear cab enclosures. FDNY purchased these after Mack ceased production of complete fire bodies. Ward 79 continued until they closed down- which is when ITE of Hagerstown, Maryland took over for a short time until Mack stopped production of the CF Chassis alltogether. Both photos by me.

Dinner tonight was the leftover prime rib I made for yesterday's dinner, but augmented with fresh cheese ravioli, red gravy and bread purchased on Monday at an Italian Shop in Brooklyn. It was deelishess!!!!!

Well now it appears that the majority of this storm is going to hit the New England states. Here in Eastern Pa they are forecasting 4-8" but just wait I bet it changes between now and Friday. In any case the snowblower (the one that has a REAL 2-stroke engine, one that's meant to be a 2-stroke) has been serviced and is ready to go, The garage has been straightened out and is ready to accept the WifeMobile.

For tonight's meal I have a rack of prime rib in the oven as we speak. Making Shrimp DeJongi to go with it, and the Battle Axe I mean Mother in Law brought a whole bunch of fresh goodies and red gravy from an Italian Market in Brooklyn.

Rowdy, go up to the top "menu" bar of the page ^ (looky now!!) you will see "CHAT" on the right hand side. You can click on that and chat live with anyone else who happens to be in there at the same time.

Does anyone in here use the chat feature? Everytime I go in, no one is in there (or do you guys smell me coming and run for the hills?) Is there a regular gathering time for any regulars if you do use it?? Would anyone be interested in getting together regularly, like Sunday Nights as an example?
