  1. Sorry. No can do.
  2. Stifle yourself. Here. Remain calm, all is well.
  3. 1958 F.W.D. saying to Slpwlkr: "When we get home, I'm gonna punch your momma square in the mouth."
  4. Yup. They're cheap enough. Do the whole thing instead of having that spring pop out and taking your head off. If the slack adjusters look like they are in good shape and dont have any slop just take em off, clean em up real good and grease em and you should be ok.
  5. Oh you have balls talking about a dirty truck!!!!!! LOL!!!!!
  6. Please excuse my faux pas. Largest annually held truck show- same time, same place. I hang my head in shame and will never do it again.
  7. Where in Jersey do you have to go??? You should plan it around Macungie 2014 which is June 12-13-14. If you need any help with planning accommodations or rides reach out to me.
  8. Hey Carl, I hope you are a good retired firefighter......'cause you SUCK as a comedian!!!! LOL!!!!!!!
  9. I should open up a travel agency, now I have a bunch of Aussie Firefighter buddies yammering to come over that want to see certain sights within the FDNY and the Philadelphia Fire Department!!! LOL
  10. There is a Federal Law about the three of us getting together at the same time in the same place.
  11. What do you spray it with???? I always wondered about putting a gallon of fuel in my pesticide pump sprayer and spraying the underside of my Silverado with a fine mist spray....but wondered if the fuel would be too corrosive????
  12. I was driving along on 22 in Allentown Pa. and passed a white Peterbilt broken down on the shoulder.....Didn't pay much attention to it because....well....it was a broken down Pete!!!! A few miles later I saw this forlorn looking bigfoot-wanna be with his thumb out so I felt sorry and picked him and his girl up and took them back to my house and fed them a home-cooked meal and had some good conversation. Then took him out to the garage and taught him everything I know about F.W.D.'s.........10 minutes of his life he'll never get back!!!! HA!!!!! Randy Y and Randy M (1958 FWD and Slpwlkr)
  13. The ATCA (Antique Truck Club of America) Annual Father's Day Macungie Truck Show is the largest annually held truck show in North America, usually having an attendance of 600+ trucks. This year's show will be on June 13-14, 2014. The show is located in Macungie, Pennsylvania in the region known as the Lehigh Valley. Macungie is also home to Mack Truck's Macungie Assembly Plant where all of Mack's North American trucks are assembled- which is open to the public for self-guided walking tours on the Saturday of the Truck Show. Mack provides buses free of charge from the show grounds over to the assembly plant. Also, located approx 15km away is the Mack Trucks Museum and Customer Service Center (formerly Corporate Research/Development and Engineering.) This is also open for tours during the show. Macungie is located within an easy drive of New York City and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Laguardia and JFK Airports in NYC and Newark (New Jersey) Airport and the Philadelphia Airport are all within easy driving distance. You are also about 3 hours north of Baltimore, Maryland and about 4 hours from Washington, DC. which you may wish to fit into your sightseeing of the States. I reside in Hellertown, Pennsylvania about 25km from Macungie. I would be happy to help you out and lend advice should you need it. I have a bunch of Aussie friends that I have helped with their arrangements a bunch of times. Let me know if you need anything!!! Cheers, Mate! Randy Y
  14. And all my buddies wonder why I don't take the FWD out in the snow- even though it was built for the snow.........
  15. I was making TN/AL/MS/LA/AR runs by the summer of my 8th bday. First "long" run was TX/AZ summer of my 10th bday. Soon after my 11th bday Dad came in off the road permanently and set up the beginning of JEVIC's first "safety department." Did my first West Coast run in a conventional Freightliner with the set-back steer axle (yeah yeah I know I know....but look on the bright side, at least it had a 3406B set at 450 through a 13 speed RR) the summer of my 15th bday with my Uncle. Made a second west coast run the next summer in a T800 KW (same power train) and got taught how to drive (whether I liked it or not) on 80 west bound about 30 miles out of Des Moines. LOL
  16. Funny you mention that. Something may be able to be arranged, I would be willing to work with Doug on that if ATCA was willing. Now for those of you who have seen the "Pin Up Girly" pics that I have posted- those ladies are VERY willing to come to Macungie- I converse with them regularly and in fact they asked about Macungie when I told them of it- they had never heard of it before. All I had to do was mention "600 antique heavy trucks" and I had a captive audience. As far as Mack Trucktoberfest goes......Not gonna touch that one with a 10-foot pole- I imagine Mack may have issues with the politics of scantily clad wimmin. Doug could prolly answer that better than I could.
  17. I spent many weekends and lots of summers riding shotgun with my father in the right-hand seat of his two F-Model tractors. I saw so much of this country by the time I was 10 years old. I wouldn't change any of it for anything!!!! To this day- the sound of a Robert Bosch injected mechanical Mack engine at idle.....Or the whine of the turbo on the same mechanical Mack engine just makes me smile and sends me back to the age of 8.
  18. Sorry for your troubles. But this thread answers a question I have always had- I have always wondered how they made U-Models!!!! Now I know!!!!
  19. The Mack Museum has a list of vendors with everything from engine/driveline components to sheet metal, to glass/rubber seals, etc etc etc. If you have not already, send them an email with your VIN, and in 8-10 weeks you will get copies of your factory file on the truck including all original build sheets, pick sheets, etc. You will also get the list of vendors. They provide you with this for free, however send them a nice donation (don't be cheap- when you get your package in the mail you will understand why not to be cheap.)
  20. Carl I am INSANELY jealous!!!! I am glad that you got it- the restoration will be top-notch!!!
  21. Croydon, Pennsylvania (Bucks County Company 11) had an N model pumper. There are pics floating around on the internet somewhere.
  22. Where are the wimmin in cars with short skirts?
  23. Sorry I don't want to have my property designated a "Superfund" site by the EPA and get fined millions of dollars.
  24. Not to get into explicit detail.......but Demon Seed Number Four was spawned the night that (the battle axe) Mother In Law (who was also at Disney with us) took all the kids to Magic Kingdom. SWMBO and I were supposed to have gone to a romantic dinner by ourselves but snuck back to the room and went down to the hot tub....then back to the room for some room service....use your perverted imaginations after that,,,,,,,
  25. Keep us in the loop with the school's reply.
