  1. Recently overheard when Vinny was sitting on Santa's Lap: SANTA: "And what would you like for Christmas, little boy?" Vinny: "I want a kickstand, or some oak cribbing, or some high lift jacks, or some counterweights, or some fat chicks for counterweights............
  2. Merry Kwaanzaa!
  3. There is a plumbing outfit around here that has a fleet of those van-chassis trucks with the high cube body...The back doors have a print on them of a guy standing in the door, showing the shelves fully stocked with tools, parts and supplies. You really have to look hard to see its not real!!!
  4. Anyone ever see this? This is sorta truck racing......I'd like to have this set up under the hood of the FWD.....
  5. I671's were available in the mid-1940's I believe (back when Detroit was known as GM Diesel.) They were especially popular as a marine engine for their ability to run backwards. The Philadelphia Fire Department had three fireboats that all had four I671's that could be clutched in any combination of propulsion/pump drives.
  6. Many many firetrucks had I671's.....Including my volunteer outfit's 1978 Hahn, which had the first I671T (turbocharged) that Hahn ever installed in one of their trucks. Yes, the loud, obnoxious, smoke-blowing, oil-dripping, two-cycle lawn boy wanna-be mechanical assholes came in inline and V versions. The scavenging blower on the inline versions were mounted on the sides.
  7. Ken you almost got to meet her, she was going to stop by the Mack show if she had an easy day that day, but she was too busy (home visit nurse.)
  8. Here is my wife and two of her friends.....This is my icon picture at a firefighter's forum. And while we are on the subject of sharing family photos, here is a fine one of my youngest on the beach in Avon, NC (OBX.) Plenty of pontoon floats around, no danger of him drowning.
  9. Wow.....a 28 foot pup and an autoshift.....Other than the cleavage, I'm not impressed. EDIT: Now that I think about it, my (redhead!) wife's cleavage is as big or bigger than that. I dont think I am as impressed as I originally thought I was.
  10. As the deadline looms closer, I blame both sides of the aisle for the lack of cooperation. I am a middle of the road republican- I do believe that the wealthy should be paying more in taxes and that loopholes should close. But I also believe that there are too many Gubmint handouts that need to be shut down or limited- drug testing for anyone on welfare and if you show hot for anything you dont have a prescription for- yer done. Fini. Buh bye.......None of the azzholes in Washington want to move off their stances and it looks like once again, us, the working stiffs are going to get it. BOHICA!!!!!
  11. The Waukesha in the FWD has a heated downdraft carb....intake manifold is heated by circulating coolant. Runs like crap in the cold weather until she warms up a spell.
  12. Redheads are evil......I know, I married one.......
  13. still might want to run a sample of the bulk oil tank......just in case....
  14. I use Giles and Ransome Caterpillar's lab in Bensalem, Pa. (www.ransome.com I think) for my antique Waukesha gas engine. They will analyze any make and model of engine, and send you the report and usually tell you what to look for if problems come up. IIRC it's 16.95 for one analysis kit- Call them with your credit card handy and they send you the kit- a sample bottle, an overpack bottle, a long thin piece of flex tube to draw the sample from the dipstick tube, and a pre-paid UPS envelope to ship it back to them. The price includes the analysis. See what they come up with, good people.
  15. Dammit I can look at broads anytime, tell that one to stop blocking the view of that Hayward F-Model!!!
  16. oooooooooo western R-models....I'm horny!!!!!
  17. CONGRATS!!!!!! Well done you two.....and why wasnt I invited to the affair? You must have known that I would have been making moves for that bridesmaid on the left.......
  18. You can absolutely put one into an FWD.....I have photographic evidence......In fact I might even have photos of two baby seats in an FWD........
  19. I've said it before and I will say it again- all the GPS's in the worls and Rand McNally Trucker's Guides to the Universe are just fine to have and are assets, however any driver that attempts to relocate a low overhead or tries to drive across a low-weight bridge has only one person to blame...........
  20. they wanted a coal hauler, not a lawn mower.
  21. Key words here being "IF I went both ways....."
  22. Lots of good stuff on youtube. Are you looking for info on a specific manufacturer/make of vehicle?
  23. Thats not a U model- It's an A model, it says so on the front!!!!!
  24. If we are out somewhere and she is in a good mood, she will point out a hot girl, and whisper in my ear "honey, if she went both ways and I went both ways I would bring her home one night for you." Then when we get home I have to take a cold shower.......
  25. hahahahaha.....DISCLAIMER: This thread posted all in fun. The real and current Mrs FWD saw it and her first reaction out of her mouth was "Honey, that girl is more high-maintenance than any antique truck you will EVER have, and besides- she would give you a heart attack even before she got her panties off." Shit....I hate it when she's right......
