  1. I highly doubt that the Museum will know the current disposition, let alone who owns it. But certainly worth a try.
  2. Glad to see you posting Paul. I hope you are doing well despite the setbacks. I have only been married to SWMBO for 13 years but I cannot even begin to fathom what it would be like to lose her.
  3. Благодарение приветствия и приветствия от банды в Хеллтаунской остановке грузовика!!!! Thanksgiving greetings and salutations from the gang at the Hellertown Truck Stop!!
  4. Vlad, where in NJ are you staying? You are MORE THAN WELCOME to come to our house for the Thanksgiving meal!!! I will private message you my address and phone number, please call me if you want to come. And please DO NOT feel as if you are intruding. You would not be the first international guest we have had for Thanksgiving- we have had Australian firefighters dine with us. I will be DAMNED if I let you be alone on Thanksgiving!!!!
  5. Wow. Just......Wow.
  6. If I remember correctly, complete rebuild kits from Fontaine are very reasonable. Disassemble, give a good thorough washing with a hot water pressure washer, and rebuild.
  7. Teri Garr when she was young. She looking a little rough lately.
  8. I know Kenny personally and this was brought up recently elsewhere. I offer the following: -It was 2011 -Kenny deeply regrets what happened back then -He has paid his dues, both monetarily and criminally -He has grown up, has a job, a steady girlfriend and is also now a father. -Would you set a fire that killed three of your animals -Would you set a fire that could potentially burn down your parent's home (the siding melted) -Would you set a fire destroying all of your father's memorabilia, two mustangs and several irreplaceable antique snowmobiles -The ashes aren't even cold and people feel the need to kick him in the balls before they learn the specifics of how the fire started? Doesn't sound very mature or Christian-Like to me. Do what you will with this information, but I for one am granting him the benefit of the doubt. And those of you who know me personally will tell you that my trust has to be earned.
  9. That sound though......lovely!
  10. Would you believe my wife has never seen Mr Mom???

  12. Now....The masses want to know.... What did you give them instructions for? How to build a flux capacitor? Nuclear weapon? 100 to 200amp panel conversion?
  13. I don't know if Kenny Boughter (Manheim, Pa.) is on here, but for those of you who know him, he suffered a terrible fire at his place this evening. His 6-bay garage and his Mack firetrucks are a complete and total loss, including the R-Model/4-Guys 3500gallon tanker that he had at Lititz. I think he lost at least one, if not two CF Engines and possible a Century Series American Lafrance as well. His father also lost several Mustangs and some vintage snowmobiles. His father's home was not harmed and no one was injured thank god. Keep Kenny in your thoughts, he is a good guy.
  14. ATCA: Antique Truck Club of America ATHS: Antique Truck Historical Society. DISCLAIMER: Understand that this is completely my opinion, but I am sure there are others who may feel the same way. You have to know both groups for some time to understand that ATHS seems to be administrated by a bunch of stubborn old men, set in their ways and are completely incapable of flexibility or compromise. They do not care in any way to cater to the younger crowds who will someday be running their organization and in fact (again my opinion) do what they can to run off younger members. ATCA: The "Blue Collar" truck club ATHS: The "White Collar" truck club.
  15. In all seriousness, if I did win: 1. Go dark. Turn off all cell phones, emails etc. 2. Lawyer 3. Claim cash option 4. Pay off all current debts 5. Establish portfolios and accounts for the four kids (with stipulations, they ain't just "gonna get it when they turn 18.) 6. Pay off all my close friend's mortgages. But thats all, I am not gonna "enable" everyone. 7. Charitable Contributions: The Mack Museum, the Brockway Museum, ATCA (ATHS Can go scratch) and some animal-related charities. 8. Establish and build my antique truck and firetruck restoration business 9. Buy my dream cars: 1969 429 Boss Mustang, 1968 Charger, 1970 Hemi-Cuda, 1960 Buick Invicta Convertible, and a few others.
  16. When I win, I will buy everyone an antique Mack of your choosing. Restored, unrestored, what have you. The only stipulation is that it may have zero electronic anything.
  17. What about Catholic Schoolgirls?
  18. Our 2015 Pierce Firetruck's DEF fill is over the fuel fill. After this happened a THIRD time, we installed a plate on a hinge with a cotter pin that you physically have to remove to be able to open the plate to get to the DEF cap. The act of having to pull the pin and then flip open a plate seems to be enough to make guys think....so far........
  19. I wonder if the previous owners added it due to poor fuel quality from their supplier? If you guys are in a cold location, pull that thing out an replace it with a Raycor heated fuel/water separator.
  20. I concur. If you cannot repair it, bypass it.
  21. I used to tell folks wanting info or parts on old lights and sirens to call John Dorgan in Phoenix, Arizona but he passed away and his kid has run the business into the toilet....So whatever you do., do NOT call John Dorgan Jr or "The Sirenman" in Phoenix.
  22. I just went to look him up on Bookface and he is gone.
  23. The weekend of Sept 7/8/9 I went to the wedding of a very close friend (in fact it was Ross Gabrick, the son of Robert Gabrick, many of you know to have written multiple books about transportation and trucks of various makes....) up in Duluth, Minnesota. I flew into Minneapolis and rented a car and drove up to Duluth. I was never in that part of the country before, let alone ever having seen any of the Great Lakes. My favorite part of the drive was northbound on I35 and going up that hill just south of Duluth, then when you crest the hill you look down into Duluth and the lake is all you see on the horizon. Beautiful. The wedding was something else, too. The headquarters for the wedding was at Larsmont, a resort right on the north shore of the lake in Two Harbors. Because Ross is a huge Bus nut, we took antique buses from the resort to the church on the other side of the famous lift bridge in Duluth. Then the buses from the church over to the reception at Deluth Union Depot, the old train station. It has been fixed up into it's heydey of train travel. Dinner was in the main lobby/waiting area. Then we had free roam of the train museum downstairs on the track level. The best part of all however was the private chartered train ride from Duluth to Two Harbors and back. Originally we were supposed to be pulled by tea kettle, however it suffered a fractured drive tire and had to be sidelined. So, F7 power it was. Yes, overgrown Detroit power. Oh well. One of the two buses, this one is the 1948 GMC, its entire life was Greyhound. The other bus was a 1960 GMC/Greyhound. I don't know why I didn't get a pic of it. I saw a freighter out on the Lake. This was taken from the harbor entrance, so I was told it was probably swinging on the hook until Monday morning when it would steam into Duluth or Superior, Mi. to unload. On Sunday I went to the Great Lakes Maritime Visitors Center, which is in the US Army Corps of Engineers building right there at the lift bridge. It is an excellent little museum (and free.) If you are into this kind of stuff, and are ever up that way, I highly recommend it. This is a model of how the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald looks. I saw a girl in a train car. I saw a 1938 Kahlenberg Diesel engine. I saw a two cylinder steam engine from a tugboat. I saw a world-famous lift bridge. They say it raises 5000+ times in a year. I believe it because in the three hours I spent in the area, it went up 4 or 5 times. I even took a video with a vessel and the bridge saluting one another with one long and two short air horn blasts. This is a tradition. I'd like to have the bridge air horn on my pickup truck. I saw a Pterodactyl. I saw another lake freighter, this was at the resort. At the time I pulled it up on shipfinder, but I don't remember the name, but it is one of the "Thousand Footers." I saw a pair of F-7's pulling the private wedding train I saw Duluth Missabe and Iron Range #229, a Baldwin "Yellowstone" 4-8-8-4, a smaller version of the UP Big Boy. This one is at the train station in Two Harbors. There is another one in the museum in Duluth where I got to go inside the cab. I saw the William A. Irvin, a retired Lake Freighter which is now a museum. I was pissed because I could not go aboard, they had the pier closed for renovations.
