  1. Uhhhhhhhhhh.............
  2. Where are the "Wimmin in boats" pictures?
  3. At least they publically announced that they were going to do it and didn't pull a "Baltimore."
  4. One of the reasons that I pulled the trigger on a new ride was the fact that the Silverado had a bad oil leak and was getting worse (qt of oil every 3-4 days....) and a resident complained about drippage on his driveway- therefore if I can use a product like that fluid film described above, I would rather go that route even if I have to pay for it.
  5. Here is the new (used) ride. 2013 Ram 4x4, 5.7 with the 8 speed. Full width rear doors. Took her out to Mechanicsburg Pa today for the part time job. 16.4 average mpg, had I not done so much local driving in town that would have been higher. Rides as smooth as butter melting on a hot buscuit.
  6. https://www.amazon.com/Fluid-Undercoating-Gallon-bottles-everything/dp/B0048770KE/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1503274777&sr=8-6&keywords=fluid+film MackMB I found this on Amazon, have you ever used it before and do you think one gallon is enough for a 1500 Ram 4-door with a short bed and the wheel wells??
  7. I traded in that that leaking sonofabitch Chevy.......Or do you mean the Driptroit?
  8. So I bought a new-to-me 2013 Ram 1500 Pickup. Got tired of my 08 Silverado and the myriad of issues I was having with it and it nickel and diming me to death. One of the problems was that it the frame and sheet metal began to rot out badly. I travel Pa State roads for about 80% of my driving and the beet juice they put down in the winter is brutal. A while back someone posted a formula for spraying the underside of vehicles- put it into a pesticide pump and spray away. I think it was a gallon of diesel and 2 quarts of cheap ATF or something like that. Does anyone recall this and if so, what was that formula???? The truck only has 34,000 on it and is still pretty clean as far as rust goes and I would like to keep it that way.

  11. From the SPAAMFAA facebook page, credit to the unknown original photographers.
  12. A picture of Seattle's tiller just popped up on the SPAAMFAA facebook group, lemme see if I can copy and paste it here.
  13. The City of Boston Fire Department got tangled up in a huge lawsuit with firetruck manufacturer KME over these engines and how the rigs with them spent more time at the Motor Pool than in the firehouses. Boston filed Lemon Law claims against KME and wound up returning the trucks.
  14. I attend several annual parades every year where participants toss candy to people in the crowd. In fact if you do NOT throw candy to the crowd they get vocal about it. I for one HATE it and REFUSE to do it- ever try to look out over the hood of an F.W.D. Firetruck with a kid in close proximity grabbing a piece of candy that fell from the truck in front of you? It's enough to make your heart stop.
  15. Psssst.......We're over here.........
  16. Welcome to Commiefornia
  17. Carl, supposedly one of the two in San Fran set an awning of a building on fire while it was pumping at a plug at a multi-alarm job. Up to that point there had been discussion of re-powering but this was the absolute death knell for the turbines.
  18. Do I see one of those girls in cars telling you that you are number one?
  19. I am pretty sure that the three Turbo Chiefs had the turbines removed after being proven to much of a PITA. Most especially when one that was on a hydrant one night set a building on fire with the exhaust.
  20. Harvey Eckert
  21. I knew someone would say that. Yes, you can try Cal Little, just don't mention your last name.
  22. Why didn't you say something earlier? Call Doug, and ask him about the guy located near Pfahl's Mack. They rebuilt the carb on the MN deuce and a half at the museum.
  23. Carl, normally I would be like "Meh....it' s your truck and your money......" But not only did this guy carve up a pretty rare FWD (FWD Firetrucks with custom canopy cabs are extremely rare) he did a sloppy job of if, AND he is trying to sell it for $10,000 too much. He deserves to have a 2x4 broken across his head.
  24. And that's a dual carb F817G Wauky, too. About a mile per gallon.
