  1. Wow. If at all possible you guys need to bring this to the ATCA Annual Father's Day Truck Show (the largest annual truck show) in Macungie Pa. and if not to Macungie then to the Mack Trucks Historical Museum "TRUCKTOBERFEST!" on October 21.
  2. HI! I'm Steve the Stormtrooper. I don't go offroad often when I am fighting fire, but when I do, I use an F.W.D. This message is brought to you by Century Wreckers, Warn Winches and Westmont Chain and Wire Rope Supply.
  3. That stack is for the 3406B that runs the power steering pump
  4. Went out to dinner tonight with SWMBO. While we were out, she wanted to stop into Hobby Lobby "for a few minutes" (which translates into no less than one hour and no more than three.) So just when I was about to grab a knitting needle and stab myself through the heart, I saw an aisle of models and modeling stuff out of the corner of my eye. I was SAVED!!! I remembered this thread and took these pics- all available at the Hobby Lobby on 248 just off 22 in Easton Pa.
  5. AWESOME!!! I have been looking for one or two of these so that I could kitbash with one of the American Lafrance 1/25th bodies.....And as an added bonus, I can have a Maxidyne engine and melt the 1/25th green leaker into a puddle of goo.
  6. Yup I remember having them in a propane grill myself.
  7. You're fired.
  8. Why didn't you stop and get pictures of the fire trucks in that one picture?
  9. That's not how Socialism is supposed to work! They're not doing it right!
  10. What language is this?
  11. Chatted with OD little earlier tonight by text message. He was about an hour short of Amarillo. He's testing out local barbeque and bought some bottles of sauce to bring home and conduct scientific testing with. He also promises lots of women-in-car I mean scenic landscape pictures. He did get a return load lined up already- Albequerque to Hagerstown Md.
  12. Rotary-Gear Style pump, Manufactured by Northern for Mack.
  13. Enjoy the trip, please take a lot of pics! I have not been west of the Mississippi River since 1993.
  14. I had a few more crappy stupid interesting and exciting pictures loaded up but I dunno what happened to them, try again tomorrow, too tired.
  15. I saw an orange car I saw an orange big Mack Truck I saw the back of Large's head- he was laying on the floor under the Hahn- the firetruck with the Green Leaker that is actually a Red Leaker because it is painted red, although you would never know it because it is actually straight weight 40 oil brown/black because it leaks all over the place......Large was laying under the truck helping his grandfather fix the speedometer cable when he accidentally laid his head on the floor........That's not water in his hair and I made him scrub his head with the dishwash soap a couple of times before he used the shampoo........
  16. Canadian? Is that like Canukian?
  17. Considering it's only about 15 minutes from the house, yes I usually pay my $5.00 and wander around once or twice. Sometimes I buy some goodies, sometimes not. But we ALWAYS go to the Ritz for the best milkshakes on the planet earth!!!
  18. Greetings and Salutations, Comrade! Good to see you well. How is Illiya doing, he should be all healed up by now I hope?? Any plans to come back to the USA anytime soon?
  19. Toby: I am told that there is a white FWD Open-Cab firetruck that comes to your show. It is marked "New Hanover Fire Co" from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Do you know the truck? It was donated to New Hanover second hand by the Horsham Fire Company, also of Montgomery County Pa. Horsham would love to have the truck back......
  20. I am already paying the highest per-gallon taxes in the country (Pa.) NO.
  21. Wow.....I was a Civilian Firefighter at APG 1997-2005 and spent 3 years on the crash crew at Phillips. Many of the aircraft seen in the video were still there when I was there. And I am SHOCKED that they were able to film the footage that they did (especially in 1983 cold war days) as much of the area is sensitive. Either they snuck it past the secret squirrels or they went over it with a fine tooth comb before they let whoever publish it.
  22. I never thought I would say this but I'd rather be seen driving a PACCAR product than those first two sMacks.
  23. OUT-FUCKIN-STANDING!!!!
  24. 300 and Allison HT740 are a plus. Foam system is a plus, especially on an elevated device No current cert for aerial, pump and no ladders are huge negatives. ALL CF's that age have rot under the driver and officer's feet. There is also rot in the steer wheel wells and the jump seats, espcially the battery boxes. There is also rot in the body, around the wheel wells, upper compartments (if equipped) and at the compartment doors- the question is....how bad is the rot? Assuming that the truck is in typical 1980's CF condition regarding the rot, no recent certs or ground ladders and not knowing the issues with the hydraulic system I would say no more than $3000 to $5000 depending on the variables. The lack of certifications is huge. At the very least I would want to see the most recent on before I signed a sales agreement and even then I may be hesitant to pay any more than $3K because its been so long. You could pay 5 for the truck, have someone inspect the main and come out with having to pay 8K in repairs to the main.
