  1. Very good advice however that alone will not prevent water that has accumulated in the rest of the pump (especially low points) from freezing. I am a firm believer in pressurizing a pump with LOW PRESSURE (no more than 10-15psi) air and opening each discharge and drain one at a time to evacuate any standing wayer. You need to take an extra discharge cap and drill and tap a hole for an air chuck.
  2. You were in Turkey? Is it a coincidence that the country just went into a state of chaos and turmoil overnight?
  3. Ron: I've finally finished with your new scooter.....
  4. I think we should outlaw guns and assault trucks like they have outlawed drugs. Then the criminals wouldn't be able to get them. Oh......wait......shit..........nevermind.
  5. LOOKING GOOD!!!!!!!!
  6. Thank You, Who else has ever tried to get you to eat scrapple? I was beginning to think you'd forgotten!!
  7. Hey! What about me? And noclue who?
  8. Hayward trucks had many interior options ("luxury choices") such as faux leather, etc. My father's tractor had beige and faux wood paneling.
  9. No one has mentioned yet that it is a Hayward truck.......just sayin.........
  10. Correct. And the tow operator apparently thought "oh, ok....shaft not connected to the transmission, I'm ok...." Hooked on, went down the road and physics did the rest.
  11. Not a lot to report this week. I do not have any pictures of women in cars or anything perverted errrrr ahhhh I mean interesting like that. I do have the following however: I saw EXTRA SMALL double fisting a bottle (of milk, you degenerates!!) and a cucumber. She loves peeled cucumber. Took SMALL to a parade yesterday on board one of the volly engines. I was driving. When we were stopped at one point, some people in the crowd were laughing and pointing, I turned around and saw this. Little man can't hang. I saw this oil stain in front of my garage. I wonder what was parked here? I saw these two young ladies who offered to help hold down the back of the FWD.....I was hesitant at first because I was afraid they would scratch the paint but they promised to be careful, so despite my better judgement, I let them help me. These young ladies must think that the FWD has some kind of anti-gravity device because another one offered to help hold it down. I hope those heels don't scratch my diamondplate, I would be pissed. And finally I saw this 1949 Ward Lafrance Pumper.
  12. That's it. That's the end. No parts for anyone, anytime, anyhow, anyway. Once something enters that lot, it will never, ever be seen again.
  13. Unfortunately it has been totaled. Estimate to repair: $40,000 +/- Approximate value: $10,000
  14. I am getting tired of seeing girls in cars. Show a girl in a jeep......Oh......wait......nevermind.
  15. No, it is not possible. As stated, there is always a witness from UPS on hand to witness the destruction, plus the scrap companies have to sign extremely air-tight contracts forbidding them from even the mere thought of parting out......**OR ELSE**
  16. This has been standard operating procedure for UPS for years. There are only two ex-UPS rigs that exist that I know of- both owned by the Mack Museum- a CNG CH in the museum itself and an F-Model daycab which is on loan to the America on Wheels Museum in Allentown, Pa.
  17. Did you read the fine print where it says that is only valid on leap day?
  18. Oh, by the way.....you are required to obtain a permit to enter the Philly area, has to be signed by myself or 39babymack at the diner of our choosing.........
  19. I was a Civilian Firefighter at the US Navy FD at the Phila Naval Shipyard FD a ways back when I was young and when that yard was FULL of inactive ships in the mothball fleet. Not too long after the PNSY shut down (after they finished up the overhaul of the carrier USS John F Kennedy) the Fire Dept was downsized and I was sent down to the Aberdeen Proving Ground FD. I used to love working at the PNSY FD and still go down there once in a while to visit the guys. You can't see it in the pics, but the USS JFK (which is now inactive) is tied up at Pier 3 over on the Delaware River. The Bridge that you cross when on I-95 is actually going over the Schuykill River about 500 yards north of where the Schuykill meets the Delaware River. We used to have a small fireboat which I was qualified to pilot, and I knew all those waters like the back of my hand. Was fun times back then.
  20. This morning.....overturned car E/B MM 63.5
  21. I am a member of a VFD that covers portions of I78 between Allentown and 33. And we are up on that godforsaken piece of road at least 3-4x per week on wrecks, and have to extricate (use the jaws of life) no less than 2-3x per month.
  22. Hey.....How did you get my sweatshirt, OD????
  23. Where was that asshole Yardo at????
  24. You'll have to go into Bethlehem or Allentown for that.
