  1. Leslie.....about your dinner date............Well......How do I put this......Ummmmmm Oh screw it. Never mind........
  2. 10/24. The emails went out today.
  3. Methinks Imma gonna pass this year given the forecast.
  4. Thats the place. Show up at 0900. Bring F-Model.
  5. No. This is a private "word of mouth" show held at the home of John Haines IV (as in Haines and Kibblehouse.....) I am sure you've seen his trucks at Macungie. He lives a couple of miles west of the Quakertown Interchange of the Pa Turnpike (NE Extension.) It's always a very nice show.
  6. Anyone going? I expect to be there with the FWD. I believe 39 MiniMack is going to be there too.
  7. Ran up to the Sunoco in Allentown Pa that is listen on www.pure-gas.org and got 15 gallons of non-ethanol 87 octane. One gallon for 2-stroke mix, 2 gallons into the generator, and the rest into the FWD. Treated it all with Sta-Bil. $3.29 a gallon. Ran the mower, the trimmer and the blower today after work, cut the grass. The difference is day and night....Especially the small 2-strokes (trimmer and blower you Detroit Dumb-Asses....) no sputtering, no farting, no burping....no smelling like it's running rich, no excessive smoke...........Curious to see if the FWD runs any better. Want to burn off all the ethanol in that before winter hibernation.
  8. My 2008 Silverado Z71 4WD 5.3L on it's best day I can get 19 going across the flat lands of lower Maryland, coastal Va and NC going down to the Outer Banks.
  9. It was only used on Sundays by a nice young man to go to church.............
  10. With 189 plus and 3300 firm I'd wanna stick a compression tester into all 6 holes before I consider it.
  11. That's just crazy talk right there..........
  12. Why duct tape? Just write names on forehead with sharpie.
  13. Maybe I could let the air out of the tires?
  14. The Detroit Diesel Fairy is all powerful and all-knowing.
  15. Vlad, how about this?
  16. Turbo temp- meaning pyrometer......The Fairy said he doubts it has one, meaning a Pyrometer.
  17. The Detroit Diesel Fairy on speed dial hates them just as much (possibly more) than I do. And just because I hate them does not mean that I do not possess knowledge of them. Remember what Don Vito Corleone told Michael- "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer."
  18. OK, the Detroit Fairy reports the following: 16- coolant level 31- engine brake 32- cel/sel 1587 communication problem 41- too many srs 42- too few srs 44- engine temp too high 46- battery volts too low 51- turbo temp (doubt it has one??) 62- output fault ecm connections 63- pwm pulse width modular (doubt it has one??) 65- throttle valve (check for air filter restriction) 16, 31, 32, 35, 41, 42, 44, 62 are all related to sensor harness. Maybe bad harness, maybe corrosion. All could be from connection issue at ecm. Detroit Diesel Fairy suggests running it without the air filter to see what happens. And as I predicted he also suggested draining all crankcase oil before you run it and quote "drive it like you stole it, and all of your problems will go away."
  19. Actually the best looking truck is the Aussie ValueLiner but don't tell the F.W.D. I said that.............
  20. Best looking truck in that parade is at 35 seconds!!
  21. Let me see what the Detroit Diesel Fairy says about those codes. First thing he will say though is that the best thing you can do is to put that piece of shit out of it's misery- drain the oil out of it and firewall the governor. Then replace with a 300 Maxidyne. Is this in an E-Won't Hush? Have you checked all the simple stuff first? Bad load of fuel? Have you checked the fuel filters and fuel/water separator? Will get back to you.
